Lummys — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Can happily say I won’t be coming back, despite the good reviews that was the worst Chinese I’ve ever eaten, and when we approached staff about our concerns regarding our gelatinous, foul food we were given a $7 discount on our $100+ order. Because it was the “best they could do.”

The cutlery was dirty upon arrival. Our chicken and sweet corn soup had the thickest consistency I’ve ever seen. The chicken satay was revolting and did not taste like chicken whatsoever. The honey chicken had a clear thick gelatine on the bottom of the plate with a weird consistency. Chicken and cashews was the best thing we ordered but we only ate the vegetables and it was still disgusting.

Beyond disappointing considering how long the restaurant has been there and it was our first time trying it and the good reviews I’m wondering if we ate at the same places as these 5/4 star reviews. Me & my partner thought we would try this place out . I liked the look of the shandy it has chicken fried rice, sweet & sour pork and spring rolls for about $22 and a short noodle soup . Which I found was a reasonable price for 3 different combinations. My partner ordered a large beef fried rice they said it was like a 30-40minute wait and we were ok with that as we were wanting to go to coles to grab a few things. We then went back about a hour later and then still proceeded to wait another 15mins befor we finally got our meal. We wernt exsplained about what was what so i had assumed i was missing meals. My partner wasnt happy that he brought a large meal and my meals were bigger then his. I ate all the spring rolls and sweet an sour pork which were both delicious .We barely touched both fried rice as it tasted plain and not worth it , the staff were friendly an were under pressure that night but we wont be back in a hurry spent about $60 as it wasnt...

Lummy's Chinese in Burleigh Waters is hands down one of the best Chinese restaurants I've ever visited. Their food is simply amazing, with the honey chicken being a standout dish. The chicken was cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and a sweet yet tangy sauce that was absolutely delicious.

What's more, Lummy's Chinese has an impressive selection of gluten-free options that are very tasty. This is a huge plus for my family, as my husband has a gluten sensitivity, and it's always great to find restaurants that can cater to my family’s dietary needs.
