Today was a shocking day. You guys have fantastic food, but the lack of care to the customers from the cashier/waitress was pretty bad. The cashier didn't make me feel welcome to your business; she had an awful attitude, not smiling at all and showing anger towards me because I was ordering food. It was also shocking that your cashiers are not following Queensland Covid rules to wear the masks properly. However, I decided to proceed with the order because the food was good the first time. After I sat waiting for the order, I saw the same cashier putting two bags of rubbish to a Coles trolley and immediately after taking my order and serve it to my son and my pregnant wife. And to put the cherry on top when I asked her that I saw her touching the rubbish, not washing her hands to serve the food, she asked, what do you want me to do. Or you don't train your staff property with health and safety protocols to handle food, or she doesn't care at all.

The fantastic work from the chefs, destroyed by a careless attitude.

My Brazilian students suggested Flavours on Charcoal as the best Brazilian restaurant on the Gold Coast, and I must say, I was beyond impressed!

From the moment we arrived, the hospitality from Arthur and Ana was outstanding. They were warm, accommodating, and made sure we felt at home. The chefs went above and beyond, delivering a culinary experience that exceeded all my expectations.

I opted for "The Charcoal Experience with Black Beans and Cassava Wedges," and every bite was exceptional. The highlight for me was the rump cap – cooked and rested to perfection, paired beautifully with the cassava wedges and side sauces. It was a masterful combination of flavours.

Flavors on Charcoal is an absolute gem! As someone who knows and loves Brazilian food, I can confidently say this place delivers the real deal. Every dish is bursting with authentic flavour — rich, comforting, and made with care. From the perfectly grilled meats to the traditional sides like farofa, vinaigrette, and the amazing “coxinha”, everything brought back memories of home.

A special shoutout to Ana, who takes care of everything with so much love and attention. She’s an incredible hostess — warm, friendly, and always making sure everyone feels at home. Her energy really adds to the experience and makes you want to come back again and again.
