Sultans Middle Eastern Grill — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

As much as I have enjoyed going to Sultan's with my family, I won't be going back anytime soon. Reason: Extremely rude staff. We had called in for reservation an hour before arrival. Upon arrival we are welcomed with a rude staff standing the kitchen counter with waving rude gestures directing us to sit on the other side even before we could step foot inside the joint. Dude relax you are not at a farm herding sheep! Anyways, Ignored the collie behaviour and still asked nicely for table. Again in all his arrogance replies we have one staff, wait time is 10-15mins for tables to be cleared. Somehow the frustration of business been short staffed on a weekend is customer's fault. Waited patiently for another 20 mins but my man doesn't bulge. Again comes out in all aggression asking us to sit at uncleaned tables with food on chairs making faces. Looking at us standing all this way maybe, his feet were hurting. Absolute disregard that I am here with family with women & a 6 month old baby waiting for 20minutes! My man doesn't have proper beard but with chains, rings & hand tattoo thinks he is Conor McGregor. Dude relax! this ain't UFC showdown. Not sure if you h@te life so much or your wife hates you but kindly refrain from dwelling into unprovoked aggressive behaviour. Families don't pay to be offended. I came here today and got a Lamb Shwarma with chips and a drink for takeaway while my brother got Guzman Y Gomez next door. I found my brother and I a table to sit at outside of Sultan's Middle Eastern Grill and he sat their while I went and ordered my meal. Upon ordering the young guy probably 18-20s who served me said it will be a 10-15 minute wait so I went and sat outside at the table with my brother while waiting for my order. We then had one of the older male staff members come up to our table and tell us that because we haven't bought anything from their restaurant we are not allowed to sit there I told him I actually did order takeaway from you guys I'm just waiting on my order. He then left us alone but that left a sour taste in my mouth on what should have been a nice lunch experience. I understand those tables are for their customers but it wasn't busy outside,Gyg is right next door with their seating right behind the barrier seperating them and I was a customer. The food itself was good and pricing was not too terrible considering the chips were included in the Shwarma price and it was just like a standard lamb kebab and chips that you would get anywhere else.
