In summary : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Glorious 😍
The food was fresh & flavoursome - #Nectar of the Gods 👏
Have an open mind & you'll absolutely love the passion that Haider & Hafiz have tirelessly invested into their family owned and Operated Schnitz franchise over the last 4 or 5 months ❤️
We were already over 96 kmh & an hour into a shopping expedition that I didn't sign up for, but was pleasantly surprised by our visit, & last stop for a bite to eat @ Schnitz Harbour Town. Understanding this is a very stressful food precinct within the Harbour town Shopping center, the share traffic flow of consumers can be quite overwhelming when we are all scarpering for the next available table to sit at while we take in a meal with loved ones. It was buzzing here so we grabbed a table and locked in our order. On the menu today was their Spice of life burgers on Turkish bread, with a family side of fries & sweet potato fries. After the first 5 min we noticed some other diners impatiently being short with the table service, also the young front of house servers. We were now 10 minutes in and there were CX complaining about not receiving their meals, or being given the incorrect meal at their table. 20min into our wait, naturally I was now regretful of our decision to choose Schnitz, even though this would be quite an acceptable waiting time at any other Restaurant outside of the buzzing Harbour Town precinct. Killing time, I then started reading reviews, and immediately you could see CX frustrations being put into words, some were less than articulate in expressing their opinions. Compounding my experience was the constant questioning and reminders coming from my own less than patient siblings 👎😁 Looking past all of this frustration, it was widely evident this was a family run business, and their front of house hospitality was being driven by their immediate siblings. We have young influential teens, and anyone at that age is going to be less than enthused about working, much less working within a very stressful family owned and run restaurant, this pressure is now coming from all directions. When the kitchen becomes overwhelmed and things start to back up, this is only compounded by the early leaners who are now in the face of less than understanding CX. To better understand these pressure points, I started making conversation with surrounding tables. The more forgiving CX were return CX & locals who have eaten at this restaurant over the least several months, and they absolutely loved the food. This gave me us a little more peace of mind, that not everything was at it initially seemed on the outset. Okay so we had now hit 30min and our orders were finally starting to hit the table, our server was also looking a little overwhelmed and frazzled by the impacts of human agencies. It was finally time to eat, and we couldn't be any more exited. Looking around the table, everyone's meal looked beautiful. We took our first bite, and immediately we had forgotten about the events that's lead up to this moment, as we were now basking in the ambience of our loved ones with a little peace of mind, our burgers in hand, not only were they on point, but they were faultless! Even their sweet potato / fries were spot on, and some of the best I've had this year !
My personal prospective :
Although I understand the reasoning behind a family owned and operated restaurant, and their front of house hospitality being run by family members. I do feel it is far too soon for these young influential family members to be exposed to the grinding pressures of hospitality, also relentless CX's with incredibly high expectations. Perhaps consider adding a young & highly experienced server that thrives on CX service, can comfortably be in the face of CX, wait on tables, as well as inspire and motivate this young and influential family to love what they are doing, even though you can clearly see they would rather be anywhere than working in their family business 👏.
Its about the food at the end of the day, and we will keep coming back to Schnitz...
Read moreAs a 72-year-old who's spent over 50 years in the food and hospitality industry, I’ve seen it all worked in countless kitchens, cooked everything from Greek to Italian to Mexican cuisine, and spent most of my life surrounded by chefs, cooks, and restaurant owners. Over the years, I met many who were just in it for the money, a lot who did it because they had to, and only a rare few who truly had passion for food and people. That’s why I was completely blown away by my experience at Schintz.I went in with my granddaughter (who’s obsessed with their Caesar salad, by the way), and from the moment we walked in, I was impressed. The store was spotless and beautifully presented better than a lot of restaurants I’ve visited in my time. The front staff greeted us with genuine smiles, asked about our day, and made small talk in a way that felt warm, not scripted. While we waited, my granddaughter started fussing about her iPad, and one of the floor staff noticed. She came over and started chatting with her about school and her hobbies — no iPad needed. That little interaction meant the world. It was so heartwarming to see her light up and engage with someone like that. Then the food came. And wow flawless. The chicken was cooked perfectly juicy, crispy, seasoned right. I’ve known people in kitchens for over five years who still can’t cook chicken like that. The portions were generous, presentation was beautiful, and the taste? Outstanding. After our meal, a staff member came over to check in on us another thoughtful touch. I asked to speak to the manager, who wasn’t in at the time, but they brought over the team leader. He was friendly and professional, and I was shocked to learn the store had only been open for six months. Six months! The training, professionalism, and passion I saw made it feel like they’d been doing this for years. As someone who’s spent decades in the food world, I can confidently say: I’ve never seen a place like this. Not in food quality, not in service, not in attention to detail. Schintz sets a standard that many restaurants never reach even after decades. Let’s just say… I didn’t expect to find my new favorite...
Read moreWent there for lunch earlier with my family and we all LOVED IT SO MUCH!
To start off, i was welcomed by a bubbly girl and she took my order like a champ with so much patience and grace (given the fact that my family and i kept changing ours minds). While my family was placing their orders, i also took the chance to take a quick peak into the back of the counter which is the kitchen area. Saw 3 young men, 1 was cooking the chicken, 1 was doing the wraps and burgers, and another was tossing the chips near the front. All 3 looked extremely professional! All of them had gloves on as well which is amazing! The guy, who i believed was the manager, tossing the chips near the front did it with so much ease and confidence. It even made me wanna join the restaurant as a worker as well😆🤭
The wait time was super short about like 12mins which was super impressive, even with our big order along with a little bit of crowd in the restaurant! The food was brought to me by a very tall guy, and he was such a polite and cool guy! THE CHIPS! THE CHICKEN! were soo crispy and COOKED TO PERFECTION! The guy cooking the chicken really outdone himself IT WAS MARVELLOUS!🤩 The salad and gravy were so good as well! And just when i thought my pleasant experience there with the workers had ended, the girl from the counter came up to us and checked on us which i extremely appreciated!!
Overall, such an amazing experience here and definitely coming back! You guys are rocking it with your food, customers service and...
