I’ve visited the Golden Point Hotel several times in the past, always enjoying the great food, warm atmosphere, and friendly staff.

However, my most recent experience on August 17, 2024, has left me deeply disappointed.I arrived at the hotel around 4:20 PM and was informed that the sports bar food menu would be available from 4:30 PM onwards. As usual, the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff were as friendly as ever.

I ordered chicken wings and Spanish garlic prawns, while my friend ordered at the same time. The food was delivered promptly, and everything seemed fine initially.

Unfortunately, about six hours after the meal, I began feeling extremely nauseous, with severe belly aches and profuse sweating. I soon vomited, and it was clear that the meal from the Golden Point Hotel was the culprit. To make matters worse, I also developed diarrhea.

It became evident that I had contracted food poisoning, which has led to me vomiting every four hours since. If this persists, I’ll be visiting my GP for further treatment.This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. While I’m unsure who exactly is to blame—whether it was poor hygiene, expired ingredients, or something else—the result has been me suffering from what should have been an enjoyable evening out.

Regrettably, I won’t be returning to Golden Point Hotel anytime soon, particularly for their food.

I urge the restaurant management to look into this matter seriously, as the consequences could have been far more severe, especially if this had happened to an elderly person.
