This place is amazing! The food was not only delicious, but really good value for money. The menu varies enough to be interesting, but is small enough for them to do everything well. Coffee, after an initial hit of flavour that is slightly bitter, was absolutely delicious (so bear with it). Perfectly made with good latte art, I would have had another if it wasn't for the queue. Which brings me onto the only negative: it's popularity! Expect to queue for a table, and in our case there was a 30 minute wait on food. But trust me, it's worth it! Places like this are busy for a reason: they're really, really good! Highchairs are available, though there isn't a huge amount of room inside to use them. Staff friendly, and loads of parking available in the Maccas next door. Honestly, if it wasn't 2 hours away we'd be back every week. Go here!

I didn’t know this cafe existed in my own home town until today. And I am pleased that now I know! A lovely, fresh atmosphere, comfortable varied seating(even a small grass lawn where you can picnic), an innovative lovely menu and polite staff. Pros: Reasonably priced. The food was fresh and delicious! Coffee was tasty and well made. Freshly made gorgeous juices. And best of all, LOCALLY OWNED ANS OPERATED! I love this! Cons: It was very busy so it took a while for the food to come out. In saying that, it shows how popular this cafe is. It was noisy while it was busy. But quite as it became less busy. Our coffee could have been hotter. My closing opinion of Grit Cafe is that I love it! Highly recommend eating here. I will be back.

A tragic, disappointing thing A kick right in my gut Is when I roll through Goulburn And I find that Grit is shut For Grit is good. Let that be said One of those roadside crackers It is the only reason I would park at Goulburn Maccas My iced long black was crafted well I chose the sweet corn fritter My caramel slice was slightly small But did not leave me bitter I'll go to Trapper's Bakery Should fate see fit to frown But best in Goulburn, cross my heart Is Grit Cafe - hands down PS A qualm - the wait. This poem was writ And still my fritters have not hit I wait here, hungry and forlorn I think they've gone to grow the corn PPS As I conclude, they come My final comment: YUM!

Wow! what a great lunch stop! we read the reviews and heard it was good but there's always that risk factor! This place is small and tucked away. There is also seating outside. we had the chicken "burger" on gf bread and beef burger. They don't do chips. Our meals were not large but tasty and didn't leave us feeling heavy and weighed down for the rest of our trip. The staff are down to earth with no airs or attitudes or impatience. The coffees were truly good and hit the spot. we took ours away. i asked for extra hot coffee and wasn't disappointed. The only down side was there is only one toilet which can mean queuing.we left content!...we will definitely stop here again in...
