If bland is what you want, bland is what you get! Entre (chips in a bowl, with mayo squirted over them because there were no jalapeno poppers) was served at the same time as PART of the main meal, the remainder of the main meal came out ten minutes later. Does vegetable based Mexican authentically have no flavour and maybe two vegetables? Enchiladas had salty white rice, a lot of onion, a couple of pieces of capsicum and a smearing of tomato paste. No beans, no spice, no texture. The quac on the corn chips was also brown. The meal honestly looked like it had been made from the scraps and left overs in the fridge. My dining partners vege burger was a bubble and squeak patty, a slice of lettuce, and corn chips. No flavour. The taco was basically a tomato salad on top of unmelted cheese. Mocktail, Pino Lada, served in a wine glass.. there were no blueberries available for the blueberry Mojito. A part of dining out is the experience, people pay for the pleasure of being cooked for, an atmosphere away from home, and to relax. What's the point of spending over $60 somewhere only to get low quality food in an environment where the staff doesn't have much interest in what they do? (your tables have had the surface torn from them in place, there were used napkins on the floor, we were the only people in there for some time so being busy can't be used as an excuse not maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the restaurant). Your staff need to taste the food that they serve, the food was appalling. Failing that, if it is such an effort to serve good vegetable based food, take it...
Read moreI paid $10 each for two Cheeseburger burrito's and was told 10-15 mins. My mum had ordered Dominos and Red rooster after I ordered mine and my partners meal. We waitied 20 mins and still not ready. When we finally get home inly to find there is less then a handfull of chips and a burrito with what seems to be twp rissols in it. The meat tasted great but service is horrible. Unfortunately not being confident in speaking english makes them lack communication.
I would like to add my chips were ice cold and tasted like they had been there all day. My young sister mocked me because hers from red rooster were too hot to eat AND hers only cost $5.
Unless someone has something to say that will convince me otherwise I WILL NOT GO BACK! I can buy my partner a $5 pizza from dominos and me a loaded chips for $5 from Red Rooster and not only save money but be able to enjoy the meals!
VERY UN HAPPY CUSTOMER! SUNDAY...
Read moreMy partner and I just had the worst experience at Caboolture burrito bar. The staff had zero customer service, not even a hello as we came into the store. It wasn't until we asked where to order did they acknowledge we were even there. We sat at the bar to wait for our meals and ordered 2 very simple drinks while we waited (Canadian club and cola, vodka lime and bitters) the staff had no idea what they were doing and I watched them pour half shots rather than full. Wiping the shot jigger out with a towel that's been sitting there for god knows how long. Which is not the worst of it! After receiving our meals to take away, we get to the car and I open my Mexican chips with so much excitement because I usually love them... The box was not even half full and they were burnt... Really upsetting.
I work in hospitality, and I never complain as I'm pretty understanding of it all. But this was...
