I had a ridiculous experience here tonight.
I ordered on Uber eats with the pick up option. The business name on Uber eats was ‘natures wok’ and the address listed on Uber was different to Google maps.
When I got to the Uber-listed pick up address, ‘natures wok’ was not in the complex of food outlets. I travelled up the road to the Google maps-listed address and could not locate it there either. I called several times across about 10 mins and couldn’t get through by phone. One time someone answered and hung up. I finally got through by phone and the receiver answered as “noodle box Caboolture” and then hung up on me after I tried to confirm.
So I went into noodle box and yes, it is ‘natures wok’.
The staff were rude and didn’t use basic manners through communications. I was brushed off when trying to raise the issue with being able to locate them by name or access them by phone.
We are both vegan and before ordering I noticed that natures wok is listed as a plant-based outlet on the web menu and I noticed on the website that this excludes “some items which contain egg”. When ordering the meal on Uber I therefore knew that the meals were plant-based vegan excluding some items which contain egg so I selected the allergy checkbox ‘no egg’ on the Uber platform when putting the couple combo box in the cart.
When I opened the order I realised I was given hokkein-style noodles. Based on how lacklustre my experience had been to-date I just didn’t trust the noodles so I went back to ask if the dish contains egg. The woman confirmed that it contained egg and she refused to replace the dish because I should have known what items contain egg (?) and I should have selected a different noodle. I had to show and explain to her that with how you’ve set up your Uber store the customer is not able to select noodle type when adding the couple combo box meal to the cart; there is only the section to ask to exclude certain ingredients (of which I’d selected ‘no egg’).
She sighed and agreed to remake it while the remaining meal in my order went more cold.
No apology was offered, it was like allergies & a vegan lifestyle don’t matter (despite this being very different to the natures wok comms) & they would not keep the other food in the order warm while the meal was being re-made.
The food itself was poor quality and looks not even remotely similar to the images on natures wok listings & I actually feel sick and gross after eating the few bites I did eat before throwing the whole order away. Obviously I don’t really have much confidence that other items in the order don’t contain egg or dairy which make me unwell because I had to prompt the whole egg-in-noodles issue and the staff clearly were not interested.
Overall the food was terrible, the woman was rude and could not have looked like she cared less and the store is unnecessarily difficult to get a hold of or locate. Obviously not worth my time or money.

Read moreOrdered large Chinese Combination which is supposed to include prawns. Disappointed as NO prawns in my large! There was only one person cooking...one preparing the meals ingredients/taking orders...and one taking orders and helping out. A lot of the time there was no one ready at the counter to take walk in orders...as a result, I saw several people just leave when they got fed up waiting. A fourth staff person did arrive after I had been there for quite some time. If it is always that popular, they need to get their staffing sorted. In addition to the above I spoke to one gentleman with ticket 78...another guy with a ticket in the 80s walked out with his meal some time before him. Another young couples number was called out and when they collected their bag, the order wasn't complete , so had to wait for the rest to be...

We've have paid for extra vegetables no less than five times in a row, but haven't received them once.
Specifically paid for extra broccoli a few times and had one to two tiny pieces in the whole box.
We've also spoken with them while ordering, explicitly requesting (again), explaining we haven't been getting them, paid extra again - still no bloody vegetables.
It's really not hard, guys, and we're not asking for much.
Last week they took my online order, only to cancel it minutes later.
Around $70-$80 a pop each time we get dinner here, but there's something suss going on in the kitchen - we're not going to waste out time or...
