Club Tavern — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

Christmas lunch for our family was excellent. It is the 3rd year we have booked in for this event & it was by far the best time. No waiting as entry times were staggered, which also ment no food que either. It all seemed to go effortlessly & so very we'll presented. The food was cooked so delightful it was amazing as was desserts. Good quality product obviously used. The brisket, lasanga, cheese cake & the Beautiful sticky date pudding with butter scotch sauce, wow they were lovely. 4 of our group of 6 di not eat seafood & none of us drink. The wine gifts were a terrific idea & nice jesture. However, we would get more value if no wine gift, but soft drinks were included with lunch. The food selection was very good, tables nice, everything was just great. The service by the team members who didn't get to be with their family's was top notch. As soon as u finished a plate it was whisked away. Just about every team member engaged us & asked how everything was. Your business should be proud & blessed to have such a great team. Riley is amazing, his service, manner, friendliness, approach is just the whole package. Thankyou & all those team members, chefs, cooks, assistants & everyone who had anything to do with this year's Xmas lunch, u alllanded it first class & we really appreciated all the harddwork & effort. 👏...

We are regulars of the Tavern and we are left wondering if there is any point going back to be continually disappointed. The food has gone downhill. We've complained the last three times we have been. Can I suggest you find someone that knows how to cook roast pork and veg let alone a steak. Waits are long even when they aren't busy. However the most disturbing thing is the language coming from the kitchen in ear shot of families and elderly customers. The young blonde haired duty manager is fantastic. She is always smiling and handled our complaints with professionalism. The lady manager who is trying to be in the kitchen and cook but also run the bar team does it with ease. When our complaints have been passed to her she has personally come to speak with us. You can see its starting to have a toll on her. The venue manager doesn't seem to give two hoots to whats going on around him. Lucky he has the lady manager who seems to be the one keeping everything together. Just watching their interactions with customers and staff, They are worlds apart and you can clearly tell which one loves their job and is dedicated to the business. As always Doris and Shelley are fantastic.

Steer clear of here. Slow for meals to come out and only few ppl in bistro. Asked for all meals and entrees to come out at once but got meals in drips and drabs then missed a kids meal so had to go ask after everyone had almost finished eating. Food wasn't anything to rave about. Loaded frys has a sausage squeezed out and cooked for mince! and no bacon or other sauces ect just a little bbq and some sausage mince with a spinkle of cheese. The Pork snitty (shitty) small and overcooked. Kids cheese burger was a piece of meat (not mince patty) hardly any sauce and no cheese it didn't even get finished by a very hungry kid. Entree Calamari was good size and that's the only positive because the prices suggested otherwise. I wouldn't go here again for food try somewhere else if I was you. Don't even have a photo and you don't want to see it anyway. Side note the kids...
