The Coffee Patch on Hasking — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

OH WOW!!!! Not just a cafe, a hidden gem. This rustic cafe ticked ALL the boxes for me… As we (my husband and I) arrived we looked over the menu, as a fussy person, there was nothing I didn’t like, and was totally affordable. A delicate voice from my side, explained how if there wasn’t something I didn’t like it, it could be removed added or omitted.

I also explained to the lovely lady I didn’t eat a lot, as I had lap band surgery, and that wasn’t even a problem, as they would be happy to accommodate me with a smaller portion!!!!!!! (What????.) When we walked in, the deserts were to die for, no exaggeration. The amazing FRENCH PASTRIES, slices, muffins, tarts and others. The chef, said everything is made on-site by her, nothing is purchased Or brought in!!! (Winner!) Let’s start with how beautifully the food was presented, how the staff were genuinely polite, and most importantly, the food tasted on point. As soon as I took my first bites, the happy dances were breaking out!!! (It’s a girl thing 😉)

My partner and I have a tradition of visiting a different café every Sunday — we’ve been to at least 20 by now — and I can honestly say The Coffee Patch on Haskings is hands down the best we’ve experienced.

The food was absolutely unbelievable — every dish was packed with flavour and presented beautifully. The service was equally amazing; the staff made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we walked in. There’s a real warmth to the place that’s hard to find these days, like you’re being invited into a friend’s home rather than just another café.

Finally I was able to visit the Coffee Patch. We were welcomed and made comfortable in a lovely outdoor but undercover space. My coffee arrived quickly and my friend was delighted with the juice selection she made. My companion is super careful about what she eats. Every morsel of the savoury croissant was enjoyed. My bacon and eggs were cooked to perfection. There is a wonderful plant and gift section within the cafe. The selection was quirky and interesting. I love that the owner has selected treasures.
