Ordered two meal bundles as we had guests over, including items catering for gluten free and vegan guests, at 7.30pm and the tracker had said our food was ready for 15 minutes or so before it was delivered, and delivery was late. The young girl delivering said theyād had an oven catch on fire and offered her apologies for the late delivery. Our pizzas were burnt, we were missing two sides (one being the vegan one), the sides we did receive were lukewarm and the vegan pizza was made on a gluten free sourdough base (which was fine but not what was ordered) and also made with mozzarella which our vegan guest knew immediately. My husband returned the entire order, and when the girl at the counter showed the shift manager our food and explained the issues he appeared dejected but offered no apology (despite appearing to be the person at the end of line preparing orders for delivery/pick up) and the girl said sheād reprint our ticket and have our order remade. Came back home and drove up half an hour later (at this point being 9.15pm) to see how our order was progressing to have the girl tell us our ticket hadnāt been reprinted but they could start it soon. Our youngest children had fallen asleep by now and our guests were getting ready to head home, and as we hadnāt anticipated having any issues with ordering dinner we had no real back up dinner options to offer. Weāve visited this store multiple times and generally the pizzas and delivery have been great, so itās incredibly disappointing to have the experience we did especially when having guests over. The issues the store experienced were obviously out of anyoneās control, but they seemed very short staffed for a Saturday night (we could only see three staff working in the store) and while the girl at the counter was visibly upset and seemed genuinely apologetic, the shift manager didnāt approach us at all during any of our interactions. Weāre sympathetic to the delivery/counter staff but disappointed in how a situation like this was handled and how burnt/cold food was allowed to be given...

They were leaning over them and I couldn't see what they were doing. Another team member came to serve me. I told him my name and he checked whether my order was ready yet. He said it wasn't, so I waited briefly. The other customers with the open pizza boxes on the shop counter seemed to say that it wasn't what they ordered. It became clear quickly that they have been given my order. We had the same first name it seems. I told the staff member that was serving the other couple that I didn't want those pizzas because when I came into the store members of the public had the boxes open and I had no idea what had gone on before I got there when they were "checking their order" and asked for them to be remade. That staff member went and talked to another staff member who seemed annoyed. She then put the previously opened and customer-handled pizza boxes back in the warmer where other customers orders were waiting to be collected. The other staff member came over to me and said that he wasn't going to remake the pizzas and that I should just take the ones that had already been made. I told him that's disgusting and not happening and that he could either remake the pizzas or refund me. He said he's not making them again and that he would refund me. With the current COVID-19 environment and all the good work that Dominos have done to keep trading through it, Iām horrified that the standards have slipped so far in this Redland Bay store, a store I have been to many times. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am new to Redland Bay after recently buying a house. I along with family have been unpacking and moving furniture all day. Due to everyone being tired, I thought it might be nice to order something quick and easy for dinner. Unfortunately the pizzas I ordered were terrible. The minute we opened the boxes I was dissapointed. Firstly, all three pizzas hardly had any topping on them. How you can charge $18 plus for each pizza with so little topping is beyound me?? Then to make matters worse we were given the wrong base and the bases were all under cooked making the dough chewing and soggy. We should have had three pizzas with classic crust but got 3 thick crust pizzas. I have been ordering from Domino's for years but after this experience I don't think I would ever order again, and certainly not from the Redland Bay store. I was embarrassed to even be offering the pizzas to my family, but as we were so tired and hungry we ate them anyway. The last thing anyone wants to do after a long day is to have to return an order when it's already past 7pm at night. I would give the store a zero for quality control.
