Red Dolphin Seafoods — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

Went here for the first time today ..placed a very large order $180.. ordered by phone off their own website and online menu.. don't be deceived as the online menu is a ruse ..when I went to collect the order I was charged well over the online menu price.. thought ok maybe haven't updated price's. Got to pelican Park on the waterfront to meet up with several family members.. opened the boxes of food.. only to discover that the family boxes only had bits of fish n few potato scallops and a tonne of chips.. none of any of the seafood bits the menu said were in the meal... was spose to be 3 of everything .. ie fish calamari prawn cutlets crab sticks etc etc..I spent $184 on this meal for my family I was not impressed at all!! When I called them to ask where the rest of the food for the 2 family meals was.. I was blatantly told that they've never put that in their meals and I have the wrong shop n continued to argue the point with me even though I said it is your shop it is your online menue it is your address that I've just been too to collect it printed on the menu ... and I called this number that was also on the menu... and still.you want to just keep saying no it's not us wrong shop we've never sold that meal in 17yrs ... like seriously how stupid do you think I am..I hung up absolutely furious.. I will be taking this to fair trading as they are liers n a rip off theiving money off a disability pensioner is so low n the attitude n argument at me was down right appalling !!! I WILL BE...

Wow amazing staff with in side dinning and outdoor dinning seats and tables .. with amazing views right on the water front so you can look at the ocean and beaches has big public seats across the road or just take it on to beach has toilets and showers in close range as well to wash up then the food is amazing extremely fresh just the way it should be with cold drinks ice creams fish packs burgers or other yummy items on menu extremely busy but fast in taking orders and making them best part is oil is fresh and items are separated in different oils choose ya salt or chicken salt yes its a old classic store so it takes ya back to the good old days of simple times of enjoyment family friendly kids love a lunch snack on the beach trade's family's morning to night great dinner for treats and cheap enough to have regular... like most water fronts on beaches there are a extremely large amounts of fish and chips stores yea so why this fish and chip store well its clean its old it has friendly staffthe food is amazing extremely tasty highly recommend it .. it's making me starving just thinking about it the chips have that lovely slight crunch with soft centre same with the fish experienced staff that understand food safety handling and are great at what they do so yes I regularly go there . As a local guide I want to warn locals that Red Dolphin have really gone down hill. It use to be a good place but now, not anymore. They have pushed their prices up to a outrageous price. The fries are so Small I should have taken them with a glass of water because they could have been mistaken as tablets/pills. Everything food size wise has been reduced down to the point of "I've seen more meat on a flies bottom lip". My son was told there was a price rise because of the holidays. When I rang the woman said that's not true we put our prices up 2 weeks ago. Well that's not true as we had the same order last week and it didn't cost as much as today also there was a lot more than the meager lot we got today. I always thought that it was smart business to look after your locals and the holidaymakers where just the cream. I really don't know if the management has changed at Red Dolphins. But to any locals don't waste your money as it's a shame. The price,the serving size and the service is very poor. Also when I got on the phone to them the attitude matched the rest of it. They didn't care. I won't ever go there again. Oh and I want the Red Dolphin to know THAT IS IN MY HONEST OPINION of which I'm entitled to . It's a shame to see what was once a fine business go down...
