Horrible first experience at this restaurant .Booked this restaurant weeks ago for on 24th April for Mother’s Day .then yesterday I rang to make sure booking was fine and asked if I could also include our 3 year old granddaughter but the girl I spoke to said there were not any available seats but our booking was fine for 5 adults and 2 teenagers ( 7 people) so I said it was ok ,I’d just not bring our granddaughter as she was staying home with her parents ..So we get there today and no one can find our booking ,strangely enough there was a booking for a Diane H at the same time as our booking with 7 people and our booking was for Diane B ,and that booking was just taken but I think it was ours and there was a big mix up .Everything was hectic ,we were given a table squashed in between others with un matching chairs and no bottle of water like other tables .Finally after ordering our food my eggs Benedict was stone cold with not one bit of warmth and toast was rock hard and cold ,husbands bacon and eggs was cold too and he couldn’t cut his toast it was that hard ..I should of went and asked for a replacement ( feeling very annoyed I didn’t now) but it was so hectic and disorganised and our son who was the one who suggested we go there as he goes here often was already pretty stressed and overwhelmed ..it was so over crowded ,we had to ask people behind us to move so we could get out of our seats .So we just ate the cold hard food .I’ve never eaten cold eggs Benedict before ever ,and it was horrible.Whole experience was awful ,ruined my Mother’s Day .was relieved to get out of there .below are screenshots of phone calls the day I first booked and also when I rang yesterday ( day before the booking ) ..was asked who I spoke to ,how would I know ..like I had to plead my case that I booked it ..seriously ,outrageous ..and the stiff hard cold toast the eggs were on

Our pit stop for the breakfast when going for the weekend cycle rides through the area. Yummy food & coffees, friendly staff, quick service and clean amenities. Love their egg benes (with salmon) 💕😋. Only thing I would like to point out is the comfortability of chairs rather lack of it!!! Please be considerate about short people like I am next time you change the seatings..🙏 it’s comfortable to sit back but not when eating. As it has kinda a bowing in the middle you have to lean in forward and when you are a short person... I think you can get the picture... you have either sit on the edge on the rim very uncomfortably or sit back and let the legs not touch ground much but lean forward really uncomfortably to eat food.. it made hard to enjoy the yummy food!! 😞 so Please give a thought about that too when you choosing the chairs next time!! â˜ș Apart from that I really loved the place and really great place to stop & revive when you go for a walk or cycle ride!!! We are very happy returning customers!!! I wish all the best for them and keep up the great work!! 💕

Went for breakfast this morning - it is a nice place with plenty of outdoor and undercover seating. The food however was underwhelming - except for my chai latte which was delicious! I had the scrambled eggs on toast ($12.50) with two extras: mushrooms ($5) and haloumi ($6). The scrambled eggs part was a very very small serving so glad I got the extras. The haloumi was not nice and only cooked on one side - so quite bland and not very tasty at all. My partner had the Vegie Patch served with haloumi ($27) - his haloumi was the same only cooked on one side and bland but the worst part was the avocado was so brown! It was for the most part inedible - only a small portion of it was not brown and mushy. Honestly, in all the years we have had avocado in a cafe/restaurant we have never been served brown over ripe avocado - really bad form - especially as . So not a good start to the day - would never go back there - which is a shame as the staff were very nice and efficient.

Went there to celebrate 2 birthday’s plus mother’s day. We were quite flexible when they rung us wanting to change our booking time, then when we got there our table had been taking and the waitress tried to seat us at a 8 seater table when there was 15 of us. My Sister was the one who made the booking and dealt with the waitress and the waitress gave her attitude and was a bit rude as well. Then they wanted us to sit at this other table until our table was clear and ready but in our opinion we just wanted to sit at a table and not have to be moved around as we had decorations to put onto the table and presents to exchange and didn’t want to try and move 15 people, 3 of those being kids to another table half way through our dinning. We were mostly happy with the food but the pork belly although yummy had no crackling like it said. The prawn pasta was very oily and not very nice at all. A few of our family members complained that their food was too greasy. After eating lunch we asked for some dessert plates and cutlery from multiple staff over the span of 1hr and after myself going and asking a 4th staff member we finally got an answer saying they were waiting for the next load of dishes to be finished washing and it’d be a few more minutes. We then said not to worry as we were tired of waiting and just wanted to finish up and do the cake so the kids could be taken to the park as they were getting restless and were really bored. And then about 15 minutes after we had finished doing cake they came over with the plates and cutlery and we just had to say we didn’t need them as we got sick of waiting as it took over an hour to get. But the thing was, it was the lack of communication that annoyed us the most. Even though we have had a bad experience this time, there has been other times we’ve been there and it has been way better. To be honest we believe they over booked themselves and need to better manage their bookings and walk-ins so they can maintain their high quality of food and service.

Hoping the next time we go, Sea Salt & Vine are back to their usual high...

Have been to sea salt and vinegar a few times and had good experiences, had made a booking in advance for Mother’s Day for a table inside, upon arrival was told that due to the rain (the reason I booked inside being Mother’s Day and likely raining) they would have to try and squeeze us in somewhere,

I was less then impressed to be planted outside getting wet while I listened to the girls in charge of seating talk openly about how “we have just had a walk in for a table of 4 I’ve seated them over there” and pointing to and undercover area well sheltered from the weather,

Upon asking about this I was told that a table had opened up inside (where I had originally booked) and was told they would move us in, we were happy to have this happen and thought thank god they had sorted something out,

We placed our order and sat down to enjoy Mother’s Day and midway thru our food being brought out was told we would need to me moved to another table (marking the third table move of the day)

Whilst I understand that during inclement weather it is difficult to seat everyone, I feel it is beyond a joke to move customers multiple times in a single visit and to not prioritise those who have booked ahead and shown up at the booked time...
