Took a Sunday drive up to the Redcliffe Peninsula & ended up at Scarborough Beach ⛱️ a pristine parkland & beachside area.

Enjoyed a beautiful feed of fish & chips purchased from the FinFresh seafood shop, just down from "The Scarborough Apartments"!

A beautiful part of the Peninsula, the local council has done a fantastic job to put in a lot of facilities to cater to large & small family gatherings on what used to be the main Scarborough Caravan Park.

Plenty of green space, BBQ facilities, shelted areas, plenty of tables and benches. This area also allows dogs to be taken on a leash. Good cycling paths have been put right along the Peninsula, and there is also plenty of accommodation available if you wish to spend a little time away from home.

Parking is available onsite, which includes user-friendly Disabled parking.

Street parking is available, and extensive council works have recently been completed in the main street in this very popular cafe & restaurant area of the Redcliffe Peninsular, which is an added improvement.

All in all a great area for the young & old to relax in the park, go over the road to enjoy a coffee ☕ in one of the cafes, or enjoy a meal in one of the restaurant or a feed of fish & chips.

A real beauty spot on the Redcliffe peninsula, consisting of sand if you're into building a sandcastle, sparkling sea to swim in, and a park planned for both children and adults in mind.

For the children there are specially designed and fenced theme playgrounds, partially shaded by trees and bushes. One is a Pirate Place with appropriate equipment for the would-be pirate. The other is a Railway Place for the more modern tastes.

For the adult there are undercover areas suitable for picnics, barbeques or just sitting and enjoying the views.

The location couldn't be more perfect. A dedicated parking area is on the door step. There are ramps to help those who need wheels to get from one place to another, while across the road there are eateries of all sorts.

A little bit of Edan right...

Great family, dog friendly park. Plenty of areas for kids of all ages to play, plus beach & swimming for the family to enjoy. BBQ 's, undercover seating & tables for family get together or parties. Lawn area's to throw a picnic rug down & picnic with the family. Opposite the beach is a great array of shops, food & cafe area's. To eat in or take away, to eat over the road at the water front. Shower & toilet amenities for everyone including disabled. Both On & Off street parking. With wheelchair access parking, wheelchair & pram access to all shops also. Great walking or cycling wide pathway to enjoy a stroll or ride whilst admiring the scenery. Very relaxing & enjoyable day out at a fabulous, family & dog friendly parkland by the...

Such a beautiful spot! It has changed so much over the years but is definitely a great family spot! ... There is something for everyone even on the days you don't go in the water! ... Jumping pillow, exercise equipment, basketball court, tables undercover, seats under the shade & even the odd blue tongue lizard pops it's head up! There are also toilet and BBQ facilities... The beach area is great for kids, along the rocks you will almost always find some little crabs and fish making their way around. On the other side of the carpark there's the pirate park climbing trees etc. The carpark is a little small for the amount of people that visit so it can be tricky to get a carpark however due to the space available your never cramped with other visitors!

It was a Saturday morning when we strolled down to the water front. One could immediately feel the relaxed vibe of the friendly locals, and I was warmed by both the welcoming atmosphere as well as the weather, as it was clear at getting up into the mid 20s. I was pleased to be greeted by the squawks of cheeky seagulls, as our small squad began to dominate the area by flexing our designer polo shirts and attire. A quick dip washed away our negative egos, and we spent the afternoon picking up rubbish and waiving at pedestrians on the foot path. It's a nice beach with calm bay waters!
