First time trying Polynesian cuisine : TLDR = it’s good! Randomly found this place on Google maps on our road trip from Sydney to Noosa. We got excited about the food pics, and stopped at 2pm Friday on our way up- they were sold out! We stopped again Sunday 1pm, and the place was pumping - large platters coming fresh out the kitchen and getting snapped up straight away. They’d already sold out of sweet buns. We got a sample of everything as we weren’t sure if we’d like it. We tried the lamb curry, pumpkin curry, fried rice, roast lamb & chicken. Wish we’d ordered more coz they were all delish! We also tried Palusami (Polynesian coconut custard wrapped in taro leaves) - I loved it, my other half wasn’t a fan. We also tried baked taro, and taro steamed in coconut milk. Both are very mild but I like the texture, and now feel confident knowing what to do with the taro from the grocery store. We also tried plantain steamed in coconut milk - again mild, not sweet, but left us feeling satisfied full, not heavy. Service was so friendly! Make sure to check out their Facebook page to see...

Last week I did the same and as I was walking back to my car with my 4yr old granddaughter I noticed a few Islanders walking into the shop next door. I looked up to see the name of the place and it said Tia's Polynesian food or something like that. Decided to check it out.... Long story short, $65 later, I've found my go to place for great tasting Samoan food. Chop suey was delish, taro, palusami, Turkey tail, mamoe etc all on point. Never tried pigs head before so decided to give it a go as well. Damnn! Tia, see you...
