This is very close to me but I always choose to go to another smaller cafe instead. On the odd occasion my regular is closed I come here, or when I'm with larger groups. Now, the coffee can sometimes be very good, but it is hit and miss. The vegan options are very limited on the menu, although they do have some nice vegan treats in the cabinet - they are very sweet but do go nicely with a strong coffee. I will give them credit for their delicious acai bowls though! Beautifully presented and full of the additions that make an acai bowl worth it (lots of granola, fruit, cream etc). The Sweet Tooth has a vegan chocolate mousse on it which is delicious and decadent. Now for my gripes - they serve all their coffees with a tacky 'Freckle' (?) candy chocolate. I know this and have been consistently asking for it to be left off when I order and more often than not it is still there. This is a problem when you have kids that don't need to be having low quality high sugar sweets. Next, they serve their babycinos with marshmallows. This is common practice across cafes so being vegan I always ask for this to be left off, but again, sometimes this request is forgotten. On my last visit, with a very large group, my sister also asked for the marshmallows to be left off for her two kids (who have food intolerances). Their drinks arrived and one had the marshmallow, the other didn't - which of course caused some arguing. Our coffees also came with the tacky chocolate. Lastly - they charge 80c for non dairy milk! My partner and I always get flat whites with plant milk, and our daughter has a babycino on the same. We were charged 80c X 3 on top of our already overpriced coffees. A babycino is $1.50 (more than other cafes I go to) and they charged an extra 80c for the non dairy milk in it. So my 2 year old daughter's drink - a tiny takeaway espresso cup of frothed milk, no marshmallow or choc toppings - was $2.30! Pretty ridiculous in my opinion, especially when we were also ordering adult drinks and already paying...

I have been coming here for years so thought I'd finally give a review.

Let's start with the coffee. Its fantastic, better then most of the coffee you find in Brisbane CBD. The house blend is such a high quality it doesn't matter which way you have it the results are always delicious. They cycle through various single origin blends that always have interesting flavours that are worth trying. I enjoy buying their 1kg bags of beans to take home as their quality for price is very good and beans fresh.

The food here amazing, I have had everything off the old menu and most of the new one. Our favorites are the smashed avacoda, waffles and tropical feels acai bowl. The window full of goodies is always a win as well, often take home some cheesecake for dessert.

Finally the customer service here is amazing. Even though it can get really busy everyone is always so friendly and warm. You can tell the owners have made a great environment to work in as the crew are always working together and having a good time doing so. In all my visits I have had nothing less then an excellent experience each time.

I am always excited when I hear the words "lets go to wheelhouse...

The wheelhouse coffee where to start when you walk through the door your welcomed by the staff as if you you walking into your family's house full of joy and happiness the service was as good as you can get quick and direct on to the food even though the name has to do with coffee as the name suggests the food is just as good for myself I got a egg, bacon and and baby spinach on a bagel with Hollandaise Sauce you really can't put into words how good it is the baby spinach complimented the that bacon so it's wasn't heavy the sauce and the way the yolk broke was like they was singing a song on the plate fulfilling yet left you comfortable a simple yet very delightful meal that left you wanting more of all that delicious goodness definitely a place you want to visit think nothing is missing out of your life think again untill you have been here you will never be fully satisfied make sure you get one of their flavoursome milkshakes thank you so much guys can't wait...

Chose this place as it had outdoor seating under shade for people with dogs. Staff were helpful and brought a bowl of water. Wheelhouse has a limited menu and at 11.30am they had run out of avocado and a few of the specials. Three of us ordered the pumpkin smash and a bacon and cheese quiche, see photos. The pumpkin was thinly spread with a scattering of dried cranberry, pepitos and a sprig of rosemary on top. While tasty the portion was underwhelming. The quiche came separately without garnish on a small plate and when inquiring about extra side 'salad' was told it was just lettuce so decided not to bother. Had some of their desserts which were delicious.

We dined here yesterday and ordered bruschetta, bagel, parfait and coffee. We did enjoy the bruschetta and parfait. The bagel and coffee is alright. The customer experience was excellent, staff were friendly. We just don't preferred the parking is next to the door when it is left open our table is beside it. Because few cars parked in reverse so their exhaust is pointing towards the open door so when driving off you can smell fumes from our table while eating and it is not a pleasant experience. Also inside the cafe the smell of bacon is all over and a little bit smokey maybe the extractor fan from the kitchen is not working properly.
