What an atrociously abysmal place. Considering how many coffee shops are in the area, one would think they’d put in a little effort. It wasn’t our first choice, but parking anywhere else in ‘The Village’ was impossible and my elderly Mum is unable to walk far. No greeting when we arrived; so instead of dealing with the staff I used their QR code to order a small cappuccino & a regular latte, as well as 3 small savoury snack items, to ‘dine in’. I received instant confirmation on my phone. After watching 2 ‘workers’ leaning around the coffee machine, doing nothing but chatting about their previous employment places for almost 20 minutes, I finally asked if they had received my order. I was informed bluntly by one that it was, “ready ages ago, it’s on the sign.” Said ‘sign’ was turned away from where we were sitting and there was nothing in the ordering process to indicate we’d receive anything but table service. I went to the counter to collect our ‘dine in’ order in paper cups and a paper bag. No acknowledgment about any misinformation or poor service on their part. Took the lids off the coffee to discover they’d made the coffees the wrong way around. With an eye roll one of the ‘workers’ took the cups and with attitude said, “Sorry. I’ll just fix that.” She returned a few minutes later placing the 2 paper cups on the table and walked away. I don’t think they could have made the coffee servings smaller if they tried, although the price isn’t small. The shop itself was dirty. Considering the number of staff and very few customers it would have been timely to clean tables and chairs, perhaps even sweep the floor. Definitely won’t...
Read moreVisited to Banjo's Lindisfarne on 03/07 at around 1145 am - I had a disappointing experience due to the staff member’s rude behaviour. At first there was no greeting and while I was placing my order she abruptly raised her hand in my face to stop me instead politely asking to repeat myself. She also tossed the food buzzer onto the table without saying a word. When I received my food, it was a wrong order and upon enquiring, I was told that the food I placed order was not available (something I was not told in advance) so I had no choice but to accept the incorrect one. Didn’t even apologise. Live close by but won’t...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this Banjo’s for the past 3 years purely because it’s close to my work—and while the food and coffee have always been excellent, the service is consistently horrible. The staff are routinely rude, unfriendly, and never offer so much as a smile, even when unprovoked. As a regular customer, I expect at least basic courtesy. It’s disappointing that such great products are paired with such poor customer service. The team here seriously needs to work on their attitude—being polite and professional should be the...
