What an absolute disgrace. No one at ‘drive thru’ yet we sat there for an amount of time before being served. I then ordered, “a large cheeseburger meal with Vanilla Coke, a medium McCafe skinny latte and a banana bread.” The man read my order back to me and told me the banana bread couldn’t be toasted which wasn’t an issue, I hadn’t asked for it to be. Then he left. Nothing on the screen to show my order or how much I had to pay. He didn’t tell me how much I had to pay. He simply left. Got to the window and the young girl said something I didn’t understand. After repeating and gesturing numerous times I realised she was asking me to check my order on the screen. The screen was blank. I told her this and she replied, “I don’t know why” I paid. Still not knowing how much I had to pay. Then I waited. No receipt was offered. So I asked for one. The girl said, “I come back” and she left. She returned shortly with a receipt. That was when I realised I’d been charged $4:15 for a banana bread. The screen at ‘drive thru’ stated banana bread was $3:50 when ordered with a McCafe medium coffee. Forward to the collection window. A bag was shoved at me through the window by another girl which before I took it I mentioned the discrepancy with the payment. She walked away and returned with a bearded bloke in a grey shirt who I assumed was the shift manager. He handed me a dollar coin, no words were spoken. He then shoved my coffee and banana bread at me and walked away. I called out asking for the cheeseburger meal which he snatched off the bench and shoved through the window. No words were uttered by him. We did make eye contact briefly and I raised my eyebrows but he turned and walked away. Then I had to ask for the drink. The girl told me I hadn’t ordered one. I knew I had so did the person who took my order, they’d not written it on the receipt. Why would a person order a meal and not have a drink? She rudely shoved the Vanilla Coke at me and I assured her I would be speaking to Management. If anyone can actually tell me who that is and put me in contact I’d be very appreciative. I don’t want anything. I won’t go near your dirty, poorly run, rudely and ineptly staffed establishment again. You sit there for 23 minutes, jammed in the drive through lane, wasting your time, only to get the order at the end and it's missing things and completely wrong. So you circle the car back around and park, and go inside to find out why they ruined your simple order of two big mac meals. Standing there in front of the counter in the store, its packed with other angry customers who also have wrong orders and have been waiting 30 minutes. It takes you five minutes before you can talk to a staff member about all the wrong stuff in your order. Then you stand there a further 20 minutes with everyone else while they try to slowly fix it. The manager guy there is some dark skinned bloke and he doesn't care about the store or customers. They're hiring young kids who don't know how to add 2 plus 2. They just stare vacantly at everything and don't know what to do. The whole Moonah Maccas needs to have the ENTIRE staff fired including the inept manager and get people in there to run the bloody store properly!!! If I as a customer have to walk behind the damn counter and pour my own soft drink from the machine (that only staff are supposed to use) in order to finish my own order off myself, something is VERY wrong. Fly the damn McDonald's management down from Sydney, sack the lot of these hopeless, underperforming staff and sort out this ridiculous McDonald's site. After placing the order, we were directed to a waiting bay for the rest of our food. We had to wait for about 10 minutes before someone finally brought out our burgers. To our disappointment, the burgers were all mixed up and the requested customizations were not taken into account. It seemed that the staff failed to pay attention to the specific details of our order.
To add to the frustration, our nuggets were missing from the delivery. We had to go inside the store to request them, which defeated the purpose of using the drive-through. When we finally received the nuggets, the accompanying sauce containers were barely filled - only about 1/8 full.
Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the service and accuracy of our order at this Maccas location. The staff's lack of attention to detail and communication skills turned what should have been a convenient, fast-food experience into a frustrating ordeal.
