I've been coming to this cafe now for at least three years, it's My absolute favourite cafe ever! My extended family also use this as their cafe of choice. Great food great prices .....Sure customer service from some of the staff isn't amazing, young blonde girl(if she is still there) in particular never seems to be happy and heaven forbid she should acknowledge a customer as they walk in if she is making coffee.......I have however witnessed her being appropriately reprimanded, retrained and reminded by owners on multiple occassions that customer service is paramount! So while customers may not be important to this particular staff member, they clearly are to the owners. They expect you are greeted and acknowledged immediately......shame this girl refuses to take that excellent advice onboard. There is one particular newer male employee my family and I just love. Great customer service even at end of day when U can see he's exhausted. Always plays jokes on my boys and they love it! Mate never loose that ❤️ you are the highlight of my boys visit. Food is always on point! Eggs Benedict is the best in Ipswich with a hollandaise sauce to rival that of Gordan Ramsey.....if U guys handmake that then WOW! Iced coffee with ice cream.....omg! So damn good and the pricing extremely reasonable especially in comparison to other cafes (actually might be cheapest in Ipswich if I was to compare them all). I mean I get a bene with the lot and extra sauce.......cost me less than standard bene at coffee club and 10x fresher and tastier.....always cooked with love and care and U can really tell. Breakfast finishes at 12 however you can request breakfast items after this time and (depending how busy the store is) staff will do their best to accommodate your requests. They make my mum the off menu muffin she requests.....no complaints or drama just a smile and no worries. As a manager in food service myself, I cannot really fault this store anywhere! (Id work for them in an instant) My only minor gripe being that staff don't have name tags. Would have loved to be able to use staff names instead of descriptions for review. Especially when praising exceptional service shown by particular staff going above and beyond for their customers and their jobs. (Cheers joker man :P) The owners should be incredibly proud of the amazing business they have created. I hope to one day have a chance to join your team.....until then I plan to enjoy many more brunches, lunches and iced coffees for a long long...
Read moreSat at a table on the very corner outside with our children and dog. (we've been past many times and seen people with dogs there). At the counter an older woman looked at me then walked away and muttered something about serving to another staff member. Placed the order and went back out to find hubby had been told we couldn't dine there as we had our dog. He was on the very edge of the establishment, not even two paws inside the barrier. Signage to say "no dogs" was on the very bottom corner of the glass. As if I'm going to be looking for that down there? Perhaps move it to eye level so people can see it? I don't tend to crawl around at ankle level looking for signage. As for the coffee mine tasted like dirty water and hubby's was luke warm, no consistency. Customer service was non-existent. No one smiled or said hello. Please don't go here and have your day ruined by rude staff and "rules" that seem to be one a pick-and-choose basis.
the dog jumped up on the table about as much as my penguin also got on the table and danced. Perhaps a trip to Specsavers for you? Sure, I've no problem admitting he barked a few times but it was not constant and we worked to quieten him as quickly as possible. If the noise is such a problem make sure kids are shushed and patrons told to keep their voices down. But good to know you will also lie about customers. As for your “manager” she could have said a simple “won’t be a minute” instead of just walking away. A small communication rather than a sour face would go a long way!
Would love to know your response about the coffee? Or do you also just pick and chose which complaints to respond to? Why was one cup hot while the other tepid? Where is the...
Read moreWent to this casual coffee in Ipswich (beside spotlight) Walked in first as I seen a sign regarding dogs ( see photo). I personally spoke to the young female worker at the counter as myself and my disability client had brought along the small dog ) her response was thank you for telling us but i will have to ask (the dog helps our client stay calm in public due to her disability).. ( note we were outside sitting right beside the boundaries as well the client and dog.) Then and the young female spoke infront of me to the male manager/ owner? Explain what I had mentioned ( as we didn't what to order our lunch to find out the small dog couldn't sit outside). Outcome the male said it was OK but on the boundaries. ( MALE CLEARLY NEEDED TO EXPLAIN THIS MORE CLEARLY).🤫 We ordered our lunch price $47 We sitting outside right beside the wall black stand boundary off With small dog on ground at feet of client. Then one of the female workers came over to inform us the dog had to be outside the boundaries 🙄 . CLEARLY I would of not ordered the meal if that was the case and I did inform them. Then to top this off the caramel milk shake for $7 tasted and looked like more milk than any flavour . So disappointing takes your $ money then this happened. 😪 Would not recommend this place and our experience...
