Japgy Indian Cuisine — Restaurant in Ipswich City

Update: For some obscene reason I gave this restaurant one more try to see if they’d take my order. I should have stuck by my decision to not order from here because this was the worst Indian food I have eaten. I’ve never had a more bland curry in my life.

The butter chicken was bright orange dyed cream and water with chilli powder and fenugreek leaves. That’s it. The chicken had no flavour either and tasted boiled. The naan had ok flavour at least but was the chewiest bread I’ve ever eaten. The rice was plain white basmati with no aromatics and was potentially microwaved rice.

Don’t eat here. Please.

Original review: I’ve been looking forward to trying this restaurant but each time I have tried to order they have either not answered the phone, told me they are not open despite me attempting to order well within their opening hours, or told me they are not taking orders as they are ‘too busy’ only 20 minutes into service on a Sunday.

I have had several meals from Japgy over the past year using the menu log app. The meals have always been lovely and attention to detail in making sure the containers are thoroughly wrapped so zero leakage. I love the fact the restaurant delivers in order to oversea the quality and chain of custody. I am a huge fan of Indian food and really enjoy the meals and breads they have never failed to disappoint. So I have looked at other reviews and believe them a little slanted. Keep in mind that my is based on over a years worth of meals and I will tell you to avoid if that's the case. This is the second time I’ve attempted to order from this restaurant. Last week I called to place an order & was told sorry they aren’t taking orders. I’ve just placed an order with them this week on menu log and it was canceled and now says they aren’t taking orders on menu log.

Not going to waste my time trying to give them...
