United Sports Club — Restaurant in Ipswich City

We recently used the United Sports Club for a "Meet and Greet" Function, as My Mother Celebrated her 90th Birthday in Hervey Bay, (where she now lives) on the 30th Dec, however due to Christmas and New Year, it was hard to organise a function and invite, Family and Friends, (who mostly live in Ipswich) as most people where away on holidays etc. So only a very intimate party was had on the actual day. We then decided to organise a "Meet and Greet " function, where by those Family members and Friends who were unable to make the Actual Birthday, could come and drop in and have a chat, with Mum, and wish her well on her Wonderful Achievement, stay for 5mins or whatever they wanted, so we book an area for 2 hours, supplying sandwiches and cakes on platters. Tea and Coffee. It was thought this was going to be a bit of a challenge, as we had no idea really how many people might turn up, But we need not have worried, John the (Function Manager), had everything under control, ensuring this Wonderful Event went off smoothly. A really big "Thank you" to you John, in helping make this Wonderful Day a very memorable one, not just for My Mum, but for all who attended. Thankyou So Very Much...... ...

Not even worth one star. Food is absolutely overpriced and tastes like rubbish. It cost me 10.20 for a bowl of chips and gravy today! The chick taking orders was rude and the chef looked like he hated being there. Asked about changing a meal and could see him ranting about it before the chick came back and said “ he said no”. Would not go back to this place.

Edit to reply- actually I also got garlic bread aswell if you investigated my order as mentioned. Not to mentioned they couldn’t even confirm if the sausages were pork or beef. Regardless of whether the chef is sleep deprived, doesn’t mean they can be rude to customers. I work night shift in a VERY demanding job/high stress and yet I manage to treat people with respect and kindness regardless of burn out. I can assure you the tasteless chips, gravy and garlic bread is enough to determine the food taste like rubbish. Thanks for the reply but you can be reassured I won’t ever...
