Singularly the worst hospitality experience I have ever had. Firstly we were greeted by a staff member dressed inappropriately and unprofessionally for the winter season. Once seated we began going over the physical and digital menu and started to gather our orders to process together. The online ordering app failed to send our orders through despite receiving an email receipt and money leaving the account. It wasn’t until we approached staff over why it hasn’t arrived that we were told “oh yeah it does that sometimes, I guess you can order at the bar”. The online menu app advertised $12 Margaritas but the price was not adjusted and charged us $18. Again when we asked staff as to why we were told “it’s for every other Beach Burrito but Jindabyne”, this should seriously be investigated as it can come across as false advertising. The Burritos were advertised as served with a side of corn chips. Each of us at the table who ordered a burrito received exactly 3 corn chips each… Clearly an expensive food item in these uncertain times. The Burritos also had an upgrade option that specifically stated “add Guac and Sour cream to your Burrito”. The Guac and sour cream came out in two seperate side bowls that you either had to dip the flimsy made burrito in or remake yourself at the table. After having a not so great experience on our last trip to Jindabyne Beach Burrito we were sorely disappointed to see flippant, unhelpful and unprofessional staff coupled with poor food presentation and execution and blatant false advertising on their menus. Dining experience took place on Monday 1st August dinner service so the management team can accurately investigate poor staff and...
Read moreOn arrival we had a nice greeting. As we sat down we noticed the floor was filthy, guessing it hadn’t been cleaned from the day/night prior as we walked in just as they opened. Other staff walked in to start work and sat at the bar eating other food they had bought from somewhere else. There wasn’t much customer service just a greeting and someone taking our order then delivering it. I had my 7 month old baby with us so we asked for a high hair. The high chair we had to use was filthy with dried sauce and food on it…. I had to clean it myself and staff saw me cleaning it and didn’t offer to do it for me. (Lucky I had my own sanitising spray with me). I Gave them the chance to try their food as I really wanted Mexican for my birthday lunch and it was average , would have enjoyed it more if the area I was eating in was clean. Also the pictures of the food I’ve seen online were not what we were given to eat… My partner had to take my eldest son (4 years old) to the toilet and upon walking in my son said “this is disgusting dad”. The bathroom stunk and was appalling. There was toilet paper all over the floor that had to stepped over. Will not eat here again. I hope this review reaches the owner and/or manager as this place has so much potential with a beautiful view...
Read moreAttended here last night and felt that the place has slipped since I came last year. Here are some of the reasons why. The restaurant was cold inside to the point I didn’t take my outer layer off. The table we were put on had trouble standing up by itself. It was extremely dark in the area we were seated making reading menus impossible without night vision goggles. Only one staff member serving behind the bar and taking orders which led to a 15minute wait to order a round of drinks. Our food order was messed up (forgotten about) with me being pretty sure the last burrito we ordered not being correct. Food took over 50mins to arrive despite us ordering before the crowd. Very hard to support local businesses when they mess up that bad. Hostess needs training also. I don’t like to give such poor reviews but the owner needs to pull...
