Honestly the worst experience I have ever had at a venue globally, this is my first ever negative review. I get it's a classic bowls club, hence the attraction to a nice club/ pub feed however basic service and knowledge on food was lacking.

From walk in the guards are literally yelling at you for ID out and to walk a certain way, I can get it with covid but when your towering over a small group and the establishment is reasonably quiet I do not understand the need to be so intimidating.

When we ordered we were warned about a longer delay, which is understandable however odd as the resturant was not that full. Quite alot of meals were prepped waiting under heated lamps for long periods of time showing me a disconnect between serving staff and the kitchen.

Finally the crux, the waitress was lovely in taking our order at the counter, especially my wife's allergies (gluten and dairy), however the kitchen staff in particular the head server chef was quite blunt and didn't seem to care about any allergy requirements.

When asked (politely) if anything was gluten or dairy on the dish upon pickup which had celiac and dairy free listed on the order, he tried to debate which food my wife could eat as he has already served contaminated food on the plate.

We appologised repeatedly, but said she would need a new steak cooked not to be contaminated, he then got angry at my wife, this was not the first time he showed poor temper as others in our party had a simular experience.

Honestly, I understand there is the enticement to Jindabyne of the snow sports and weather but I do not believe this is an excuse to poor customer service, no medical and conditional related empathy nor understanding.

In future, if we do ever go back to Jindabyne, we will be self catering, as the Alps is no...

Came here on recommendation from a friend. Large variety of food choices and food was pet decent overall. We ordered the salt & pepper squid with chips, the chicken schnitzels and the pork belly.

The salt and pepper squid was actually not bad. The chips were great and nicely seasoned. The squid itself was on the softer side. I normally would prefer it to be a bit more chewy as a personal preference. But it was still really good. The batter kept falling off though. Would have been better if the batter was a bit more crispy and crunchy. The aoili was nice, i think it was handmade as it tasted better than the ones you find instore.

My partner had the chicken schnitzel and said it was a good serving, however the schnitzel was on the thinner side. Would have been nicer to have the chicken thicker and smaller in size. It came with pepper gravy sauce; it was a bit watered down compared to normal gravy, however instead of using normal salt and pepper, they used chilli peppers and the peppers overtook the taste of gravy unfortunately.

Our friend had the pork belly and said it was absolutely delicious and crispy. It was a very good size serving too.

We came just after 5:30pm (when they open) and it was a good thing we did, as the moment it 6pm came around the lines were out the door. We still had to line up for about 15 minutes for our food. Anyone that arrived after 6pm were waiting 30mins-1hr to order.

It does have a mini bar so you can order drinks while you wait and if you have children they now have a playground inside the food area.

Would recommend coming for a good feed, however make sure to come early! Or else you'll be waiting.

Also a funny side note, you cannot enter with snow boots, however you can enter...

We arrived on a rainy Thursday so my daughter could play on the indoor playground. We waited down stairs as I had my 9 week old daughter in the pram for the elevator which wasn’t working. My husband had to carry the pram upstairs which was fine but we were then greeted with what we would call disgraceful customer service by the so called manager and told to sign in. It’s the way she spoke to us like we were an inconvenience to be there. We then sat down and waited for a bit and my husband went up and asked for menus to be told it’s around the corner which they weren’t and told to go on Facebook and have a look at the menu. We ate which the food was lovely but as we were leaving I asked to go down in the elevator. The so called sour faced manager came over and tried to unlock it, I said to one of the other staff members I want to speak with the manager about her attitude and she then chucked a hissy fit and threw her hands in the air and told one of the other staff members to help work the elevator. I own a business and if she was one of my staff members she would be out the door with her disgraceful attitude. Regards...

Simple setting with large meals. Tasty bistro favourites some under $20. Top up with Salad, veges and tasty chips from self serve bar. Lunches excellent value. Dinners can be busy in ski season with long line ( 730!- 8 for our recent visit ). Food comes promptly though. Enjoy a draft beer while you wait or some very good value wines by the bottle in the $20-$30 range. Don't forget your ID to sign in as a guest.

Friendly service. Good local dinner option with a good range to choose from. The fish of the day $28 was Barramundi fillet which was cooked well and delicious. The rump steak $32 with chips and salad unfortunately came out medium rare when we asked for medium. Other than that all was good. The vanilla slice with ice cream and fresh cream was nice but seemed a little dear at $12.
