North Kapunda Hotel — Restaurant in Kapunda

Went to Kapunda as part of a MTB ride with two mates on the Kidman Trail. Due to the forecast of rain and gale force winds we cut short the ride and spent an afternoon at Kapunda looking at the sites (really interesting town) followed by a few drinks and counter meal at the North Kapunda Hotel. Great food (awesome mustard bread) with generous sizes served by very friendly bar staff. Followed by a guided tour around the hotel which is an amazing building with so much history. The current managers have done such a great job clearing away the decades of dust and debris and are very knowledgeable on the history, rumors and personalities that have occupied the hotel over its checkered history. We had a fantastic night - the only downside was the walk in the rain back to the Cabin we were staying at. We were offered a ride which we knocked back as we didn't want to put anyone out - very bad call. Thanks for your hospitality. Steve,...

Absolutely love the place fantastic meals lots of history to the hotel as featured in Haunting Australia t.v series with Australia's Allen Tiller, Raylene cable American Robb Demarest Ray Jordan ,the late great Guarav Tiwari (R.I.P) Last but not least Ian Lawman Highly recommend a trip to the town so much history through out to see and enjoy then wind down after for a great meal fantastic atmosphere and great people for a great experience at north Kapunda hotel I absolutely love it here I to have eaten and experienced the hotel on numerous times and have personally investigated it's hallway to hell at night and I can tell you it never disappointed me...

Brilliant! The staff were friendly and the food was excellent - I had the Ghostbuster Fillet Steak which was one of the best meals I've had in a pub - the steak was perfectly cooked and the portions were huge! I would travel there just for the food but having the Ghost Crime Tour as well was a bonus - interesting but no otherworldly experiences were felt. The only downer was having children tag along - this definitely spoilt the atmosphere. Next time I will pay extra for the adults...
