I don’t usually take the time out to write a review but today I am making an exception and writing one on principle to have my voice heard in relation to this restaurant and its horrible food that made me sick not long after finishing my so-called lunch.
I went to this restaurant for lunch today and I don’t know why I continued eating what I ordered. I ordered the Chicken Katsu and it was disgusting, I couldn’t eat the chicken as it was brown/of really poor quality and pretty much off cuts you would feed to your dog. So I thought I’d just eat the basic noodles with the sauce which was quite horrible as well… I don’t know why I kept on eating at this point!
Usually I’m pretty quiet and polite so I still paid for this ‘food’ but I’m really wishing that I spoke up and made a stand for myself to say that this ‘food’ that they are serving is really unacceptable and shouldn’t be served up in the first place than alone having to folk out for it.
I can’t really say no more other than it’s really bad and I don’t understand why a food-based establishment such as this is still in business. Goodness knows how they perform when they get random audits for food hygiene and cleanliness! I don’t understand how they’re still operating!
Hence, I’m happy to give Super Tetsudo no stars (even though I had to give at least one star to get this review posted) and to let others know to avoid this place at all costs despite its gimmicks with its robots and sushi trains 👎.
Here’s hoping that this review can make a difference to fellow diners looking for somewhere to eat and alert Super Tetsudo and their management into literally cleaning up their act!
Thank you for allowing me to vent...
Read moreWas pretty disappointed with the service that came from a couple of the staff. After waiting 15 minutes for one simple order (Scampi Nigiri - for those who don't know it is similar to prawn on a bed of rice), we decided to cancel it as it was taking too long. They refused to cancel it. Their response was that it gets made as soon as the order is requested. My question - well why wasn't it out ten minutes ago?
We accepted that they wouldn't cancel it and waited for it to arrive to eat it. It arrived on the fancy train however it was under cooked and they had left a scampi vein on one of them so we sent it back. It was clearly a rushed last minute job that had been forgotten about until we had asked to cancel it. I suppose they were trying to rip us of our money.
As we sent it back the female waiter said okay and that they were sorry and went and got a male waiter. The male waiter insisted it was part of the scampi nigiri and not a scampi vein so therefore wouldn't be able to cancel it. We debated this and he went back with it to the chefs making the sushi. He then made his way back to the table with the dish and decided to change his response and indeed told us it was an egg (clearly not an egg - I strongly regret not taking a photo)?
E coli can be caused by eating the vein of any shellfish so I pulled up a YouTube video on how to de-vein a scampi and it showed exactly that vein in the video.
Rest assured after seeing the video they backed off and we didn't have to pay for the inedible meal. Probably will deter us from heading back...
