Shocking!!! So upset with this outlet. On 11th January my husband and I were there with a couple friends. We were given a table at the front and just under the speakers. The music was loud and we asked for another table that was quieter. We were told all the tables were reserved so we ordered, ate our meal and left. I thought the food was good but, the tables we were told were reserved remained empty until we left two and half hours later. Today my husband and I took our daughter there for her 40th birthday. This time I called well ahead to reserve a table away from the speakers. I requested for a cake and birthday song after dinner. I even brought my own candle and a little Happy Birthday cake decoration. The table we were given was next to the kitchen and the bar area. Our seating area was so hot being so near the kitchen. The music this time was blasting so loud we felt we were in a rock concert. To top all that after dinner which tonight tasted awful and bland the waitress walks up to our table to ask me if I wanted the birthday cake brought out. I freaked out because it was supposed to be a surprise for our daughter. I signalled with my eyes to not talk about it and she nodded and went away. Then she returned with my candle and decoration to ask if I wanted them on the cake. This time I was livid!!! How stupid can she be???? I had to leave our table and tell her the cake was a surprise and asked her what was she doing? She apologised but by that time the surprise was RUINED!!!!!! Will I go back? NOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Will I let my friends know about this place? YESSSS!!!! Especially about the horrible experience tonight....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLoved my time here at hog's breath. I called to book for my dad's birthday, but hadn't told the lady that this was for a birthday. She asked over the phone unprompted after I gave timing, and amount of people (3), if this was for a birthday and offered to create a sign for him to place on the table. I really appreciated it as I wouldn't have known that it would be possible to have something like this arranged if she hadn't asked.
Food was wonderful, I absolutely loved the mashed potatoes and steak. My vegetarian mother even really enjoyed the mushroom and avocado salad and mashed potatoes enough that she said she'd come back and eat it again. It was a Saturday night so the restaurant was quite full and it was maybe a 30-35 min wait, but the atmosphere of the restaurant is very cosy so with good dinner companions, you'll barely notice the wait time.
We ordered some dessert after our mains, and as we were finishing, the manager walked over with a free hot fudge brownie that had a sparkler in it with her staff singing happy birthday behind her. It was a very wholesome moment for our family.
I would say that some of the staff were very quiet and glum the whole time we were there, and weren't matching the lovely outgoing manager that was setting the tone for everyone else, but they were all still polite to speak to and receive service from.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at hog's breath and plan on returning soon. I very much recommend this place for steak lovers who are looking for a nice place to celebrate...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food was absolutely disgusting and service was terrible. Each time a worker walked passed our table, we tried to order only to be told that they werenāt trained to take orders and we would have to wait for someone else - this happened 3 times. Finally after ordering it took 55 minutes for our meals to arrive. The mashed potato had chunks of powder in it where the instant packet of potatoes hadnāt been mixed properly. The steak was all fat and I could only have 4 small bites from the whole thing. The cream garlic sauce resembled craft glue and tasted like melted plastic. The mac & cheese was rock hard, bright orange and clearly from a packet, smelt like vomit and had a sad little bit of grated cheese on top. My partner ordered his steak well done but it came out medium rare. I ordered my steak blue and it came out medium. It was so hard to order in the first place and even harder to try and politely get a staff members attention to explain our issue. We just ate the curly fries and the garlic bread and left. Not only was it Valentineās Day, it was also my partnerās birthday. We very rarely go out and knew that Hogs Breath is pretty casual dining, but didnāt expect this
And we paid $140 for two meals!!!
