Was sooooo disappointed with tonight’s order. First time ordering from Kurri seafood and I doubt we’ll go back. The batter on the cocktail fish and potato scallops was thick and soggy and weirdly chewy. The only crispy chips were the little dregs of potato you get at the bottom of the frying basket. The fish itself was really nice without the batter but we were craving some crunchy flavoursome fish bites but were left very unsatisfied.

Has managed to survive the big names and outlast many fast food business in town over the long term. Have noted that very recently the quantity and degree of cooking has been variable on the chips and other battered items most likely due to recent further increases in direct competition, but I'm sure they will get in top of this quickly as this business has been around a long time with the same familiar faces and old fashion customer service. Read moreAfter 7 hours driving, fish and chips seemed to be a quick, easy meal at the end of the day. When I rang, I asked what type of fish it was, I was told "battered"! (it's Basa, by the way, which is full of toxins). I ordered Barramundi instead, and asked for well cooked and well drained chips.
What we got was two greasy, soggy, pieces of fish and the greasiest, most unappetising chips we've ever had the misfortune to buy.
