Eastern Chinese Fast Foods — Restaurant in Launceston

Unfortunately rather disappointed this evening after attending for takeaway dinner with my father. We arrived just prior to 5pm, as there were a dozen or more people waiting to enter when it opened, we waited for the queue to subside somewhat prior to entering. Only 2 tiny pieces of honey chicken, the mixed dishes seemed to lack the usual amount of vegetables, with absolutely NO baby corn or water chestnuts to be seen in ANY of the dishes. Dimsim was not hot, fresh and crispy as per normal standard and expectation, and the food containers we purchased were okay, maximum 5/10, but certainly NOT to the standard I have had from here previously and recommended to hundreds of people. Large containers $15.00. Dim sims $2.50. The 1 piece of carrot and 3 small pieces of Broccoli (only vegies I scored bar a piece of onion and small chunk of celery, were overcooked, and possibly Saturday night leftovers, as a couple of my pieces of chicken were tough and rubbery also, while few other pieces from a different dish were succulent and tender. I recently dined at the Eastern Chinese Restaurant in Kings Meadows, and I must say it was an exceptional experience! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive.The menu offered a wide variety of traditional Chinese dishes, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The honey chicken was perfectly cooked with a crispy crunch and the meat I had was tender, and the dumplings were some of the best I've ever had. The flavors were authentic and the ingredients fresh.The service was prompt and courteous, and the staff made sure our dining experience was enjoyable. My favourite Chinese food restaurant in Launceston. Always greeted with a welcoming cheery hello from Alice, the restaurants Maître De along with other helpful staff. This is a little gem of a restaurant serving delicious Chinese Cuisine. The Satay Chicken is one of my favourites. However I have seen many customers line up for one of the restaurants signature dishes being the crispy golden honey Chicken. This dish is a real winner and sells quickly. But don’t despair if you arrive at a time when the Honey chicken Bain is nearing empty. A quick friendly chat to Alice and she’ll have the kitchen delivering a freshly cooked batch in a few minutes.
