I recently traveled all the way from Sydney to visit Afghan Sultan Kitchen, and I can say without a doubt that it was an utterly disappointing experience.

To begin with, the service was abysmal. The staff were not only unhelpful, but incredibly rude, making us feel unwelcome from the moment we walked in. As someone who has traveled extensively and dined in many restaurants, I can confidently say that this level of customer service is simply unacceptable.

Adding to the discomfort was the embarrassing situation with the abundance of flies in the restaurant. It was quite clear that cleanliness was not a priority, as we were swarmed by flies throughout our meal. Instead of addressing the problem by either opening the doors for ventilation or taking any steps to mitigate the situation, the staff opted to keep the doors closed, leaving us trapped in a less-than-pleasant atmosphere.

I had high hopes for Afghan Sultan Kitchen, especially after making the trip from Sydney, but it ended up being a colossal letdown. With such poor service and a shocking lack of hygiene, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you're looking for a pleasant dining experience, do yourself a favor and seek out other options. This place is not worth your...

I recently dined at Afghan Sultan Kitchen, and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The food was absolutely incredible! I ordered the Kabuli Pulao, and it was full of flavor – the tender meat and perfectly cooked rice were just unforgettable.

The Mantu dumplings were another highlight; they were so delicate and delicious, topped with the perfect blend of spices and yogurt sauce. The kebabs were juicy and flavorful, grilled to perfection. Even the sides, like the fresh naan and salads, were amazing.

What made the experience even better was the hospitality. The staff were so welcoming and attentive, always checking to see if we needed anything. It really felt like they cared about making sure we had a great experience.

The ambiance was cozy and inviting, with a touch of Afghan culture in the decor that made it feel special. And to top it all off, we tried the Firni for dessert – a sweet, creamy treat that was the perfect way to end the meal.

If you’re looking for authentic Afghan food and a warm, friendly atmosphere, I can’t recommend Afghan Sultan Kitchen enough. I’m already looking forward to...

Reviews are either haux or we simply had a bad experience. Honestly, the restaurant outside looked interesting but inside seemed quite uninviting, especially with the staff staring straight into our soul judging where my husband and I came from as we entered their restaurant, quite rude actually. Their English wasn’t 100% great but they tried over the top to satisfy us. 3 staffs kept bringing our meals after another in very short time where I wasn’t able to take photos and enjoy our meals. However they did a great effort with their food presentation but unfortunately their food wasn’t quite nice as most were extremely oily & very fatty. We also felt quite unwell when we got home 🚻 and we think it was either eating too many of their dishes on our table or they were all too oily. It would’ve been enjoyable if they simply welcomed us without staring at us & sussing us, be less sending too many dishes at one go or be less oily. There wasn’t a lot of people in their restaurant, there was about 6 adults including us and 2 children. We’re not fond of this restaurant at the moment but we hope it gets better in future time and maybe we’ll return with a...

The atmosphere at the restaurant was quite unpleasant, with flies buzzing around while trying to enjoy a meal. It made it difficult to focus on the food. Additionally, the portions of rice served were inconsistent, with some plates having significantly more than others, despite the price being $10 for each. Overall, it was a disappointing experience that left much to be desired. The experience at the restaurant was quite frustrating. The menu I received was incorrect, which led to a misunderstanding about what I was ordering. When I brought this to the attention of the owner and the staff, they were unhelpful and insisted that it wasn't their fault, suggesting that I should have known better. This lack of accountability and customer service really diminished my dining experience. Overall, I was disappointed and wouldn't recommend this place based on my experience.

Afghan Sultan Restaurant is an absolute gem in Brisbane! The food is incredibly authentic, fresh, and delicious. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and truly represented the rich culinary heritage of Afghanistan. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. This is hands down the best Afghan restaurant in Brisbane. I would recommend it 100% to anyone looking to experience the real taste of Afghan cuisine. Don't miss out on this fantastic dining experience! I can’t wait to go back for more freshly made Afghan bread! 😍
