The takeaway food is generally good though some dishes can be a bit on the bland side (chicken and vegetable), but the sweet 'n sour is often good and special fried rice is reasonable. Shandy and perhaps another dish will often hit the spot and hard to beat for price. Seems to be really family run, at least the past 10 years I've lived in the area, just a shame they're not always open on days and during times one might expect. There are pricier options in the area that can be gambled on, but Diamond has always been consistent and a reliable go to in Springwood area that is hard to beat on food quality for price.
Updated: I noted some time ago that the food tasted bland. Well for past few times it's no longer the case. Well cooked, good taste, good price. So updating my review to 5 stars. Good job guys!
2nd Update (9/10/2022): Been a number of months (~ 6 months) since last purchased, and something has changed. I can only go by what I eat. Last night (Saturday) and fried rice was extra dry and mainly rice (minimal other ingredients). Chicken in almond chicken dish was chewy, as was the beef (very chewy) in szechuan. Vegetables minimal and soggy. Very watery not saucey. Sweet 'n sour only reasonable dish. Updating from 5 to 3 stars, but I'd rate last nights as 2 stars really. Sorry!
3rd Update (10/02/2023): Well, special fried rice was good, decent ingredients, pork, prawns, egg. The beef szechuan was great again. Sweet n sour pork, the pork was in separate container to the sauce, which was actually really good. As I was able to give to one of my kids (fussy) and then they evenually tried it with the sweet n sour sauce and liked it all. There was a chewy bit in one of the pork, but otherwise one of the best chinese takeaway tonight. Thanks for a...
Read moreI’m not a person for google reviews but I am one for a good Chinese feed. I grew up with dad dragging us around the place eating Chinese from a million different places from the blue mountains to Sydney’s china town and every place in between. I moved to the Logan area around 3 years ago and have near tried every Chinese place in the joint ( and there’s a ton!) with nothing but disappointment! The fried rice was just never fried enough (again disappointed for Logan 🤐😂) HOWEVER! We discovered this gem of a restaurant tonight on Uber and after many dissatisfactions… finally… FINALLY!! A Chinese restaurant that appeases even the most fussiest of eaters! Not only is this THE only restaurant in the state that can read the ”no onion” instructions but every mouthful was just incredible! The sweet and sour combination was full of meat and veg, the meat just melted in your mouth! The veggies were crunchy and fresh! The Mongolian was to die for and believe me, I feed THE most self confessed fussiest of eaters! ((Who is sneaking back in there for seconds thinking I can’t see him😆 )) I honestly have to thank you more than rate you because after years of searching for a bloody good feed, this place is it! This is the one!! Great prices! Not a long wait at all! Exceptional!...
