Whilst at the laundry mathew, I asked a lovely couple where to go to for a local burger. After a few suggestions of places I'd already tried, I was curious to hear of a cafe within the plant nursery just down the road. If you follow my adventures on here (if you do, you should probably find some hobbies), you'd be well aware that this sounds like the sort of thing I'd be into. They warned me that my clothes would be finished washing before I could complete this lunch quest, and that left unattended, they may be stolen. I gave them my opinion that anybody who needs to steal second-hand clothes probably needs them more than I do and set off to find the nursery burger. As promised, the Cafe was set within and amongst the cool, aromatic shade of the (obviously) heavily foliaged plant nursery. I was shown to a table and ordered a coffee and a "Lori burger" with all the extra stuff. My burger was an impressive sight, and for some reason, I had a harder than usual time holding it together while smearing it all over my face. You'd think I'd be better at this by now... The burger was of top-notch flavour and quality and came with decent chips, but it was quite pricey. This meal came in at $34, which puts it in the top 5% price wise. That aside, I'd recommend the experience of dining here on a lovely sunny day. Oh, and if you're wondering, no, my clothes had not...

I should have cancelled my order when i found out the astronomical price; it proved to be an omen. I ordered extra-hot skim milk cappuccino, took longer than expected and arrived tepid at best, and very weak. Extra-hot is acceptable as long as the milk is not burnt, about 70degrees is workable. I politely asked the staff, to' just microwave it ' , a fresh brew would not improve the quality. Lacking enthusiasm and interest, they offered to remake. Cup and drink were way too hot, and it didn't improve the already insipid taste-no better than an instant coffee. My husband was smarting at his good decision not to purchase, he was right. In our experience, the staff were not professional and were standing around looking bored and at a lost to be productive. One girl was picking under her fingernails in full view of the counter. not acceptable. Nielsen's Nursery offers a diverse range of plants , products and professional services, which is wonderful, however, offering another amenity that is not up to standard and charging above prices is a lost investment. Admittedly we didn't come here for coffee, but it shouldn't be too much to ask to enjoy a chat and coffee about plant purchases or plans, in a relaxing...

Unfortunately Lorikeets Coffee Shop has change hands. In the past my husband and I would drive 45 mins for the big breakfast with homemade bakebeans, also having to book our table week ahead. Sunday being a rare outing we stopped in for breakfast....We noticed the change of name straight away...unfortunately the service was very poor...no direction to table, only 4 breakfast dishes on the menu. Food was poor, toast probably basic bread from Coles ( uncooked ) eggs not cooked...bakebeans out of a can. Smashed avo very poor...bread hard only 2 small Cherry tomatoes not ripe....young staff not trained in hospitality... unfortunately I've never written a review like this in all my years of being on google. We love supporting small businesses...being business owners ourselves. In challenging economic times it's important we approach our customers with excellent service and product. hopefully this review will help the new owners to reflect and ask why 98% of the tables...

I have visited several times & didn't realise I haven't done a review yet. From the beginning to the end, great service by all staff. Considering I visited on Easter Monday, they accommodated my guest & I. Service was speedy, both in ordering & receiving both coffee & meal quickly. I also ordered a take-home slice of the hazelnut torte and was advised they would pop it in the fridge ready to go once I had finished. It does adjoin to a nursery where they also do pat & play experiences with sting rays & sharks, which I have previously done and was such a rewarding time. I ordered a coffee which was nice but not one of the best I have had. Again, I'm not a coffee connoisseur so this could be a me thing. I ordered the sweet French toast & was torn over that or the savoury. I guarantee you when that came out I just took in the biggest smell of it and it was delicious. I would definitely return, although groups are requested to book a table.

Lorikeet’s Coffee Shop is set in a delightful nursery setting. The atmosphere is peaceful and a great place of mindfulness. The seating is basic and the coffee ordinary. Staff are very friendly and engage readily with the customers. The plants surrounding the cafe and the beautiful waterfalls flowing soothingly into a pool of water make for a relaxing place of rejuvenation. Add to this the happy bird life twittering away and it all makes a an idyllic setting.
