We have pulled up at Botero's quite often on our trip up to Brisbane for quite a few years now have always been satisfied with both beverage & meals. But last Monday on our way home from Brisbane I was quite disappointed with both service & meal quality. We'd planned to have a sit down lunch & I proceeded into order. The cue was considerably long & when I finally got to order I could see the somewhat frazzled lady was struggling so I asked her how day had been going & she replied been so busy she hadn't had time for a drink of water & her mouth was dry. To which I replied I'm sorry my order is easy. A Cajun chicken wrap cut in 2, 2 sweets & a long black & table no 20. Thinking it was lunch & they must of been short staffed today we sat & waited. In the mean time I noticed a table had become available near by which promptly 2 gentleman were interested in. A waiter came over to clean off table & to my surprise instead of using any type of cleaning cloth or cleaning agent started wiping table down with her bare hands which I had never experienced before & thought that's a bit grosse & unhygienic. Anyway by this stage we'd been waiting for well 20 mins & so I decided to find out how much longer from counter lady who still look like she was struggling only to be told the wrap would take another 10 min. So with that I decided to get our lunch to takeaway which whence I noticed that she had to manually go around to kitchen to inform them herself & also had package our sweets. There 2 terminals to order but she seemed to have to do everything. Another 10 mins elapsed & by this stage I was quite sick of waiting.( I'm usually a very patient person & it takes a fair bit to upset me.) Finally we had everything we ordered 40+ mins later & drove down to river to eat. The Wrap didn't by any standard replicate what was described on the order & was quite bland..The coffee was also ordinary given they're coffee roasters. The sweets were up to the standard that had originally lured us to Botero's so 1 out of 3. I feel & hope this experience hopefully for them is a one off but unfortunately you've lost...

Didn’t have a chance to eat or drink so am only commenting on the service/atmosphere. Easter Saturday so was extremely busy, all tables full with what appeared to be no system at all to service. Stood at the door for ten minutes trying to make eye contact with a waiter ended up speaking to the barista who advised that its table service but they don’t have anyone seating you. Basically just find a table and wait to be served which would be ok if the place wasn’t chaotic. We couldn’t even get the attention of a waitress to ask a question, I could foresee how difficult it would have been to make an order for food. When things are that busy and you have that many people sitting in your establishment there needs to be some sort of concierge or system to...

This place is great, the food is delicious and the vibe of the place is great. We got fantastic customer service from one girl, I wish I had remembered her name to give her praise. We were allowed to have our dogs with us, they have a ‘dog tree’ with water bowls and the lovely staff member made us and them feel very welcome. However the other staff were not so great, making us and our dogs feel not to welcome. My partner got a cappuccino and it tasted like the coffee was stale or the machine needed a good clean. My cold drip coffee was quite nice but far too sweet, it said slightly sweetened so I didn’t expect it to taste like it had 6 tsp if sugar in it. I would recommend this place to anyone, it would probably be better...

This place was very cool! I stopped in while travelling north to the Sunshine Coast, for a takeaway coffee. It's only a couple of minutes from the Highway, and well worth the pitstop. The coffee was *excellent* and I wish I'd had time to stop here to savour the experience and order some food. As a place to pop in for travellers, it's great. They have well-maintained bathrooms around the side of the building, the service was efficient, and the staff were kind. There's limited street parking (no signs for limits, it's just not a big area), but I wouldn't say this limits accessibility or convenience. If I come back down that way on my return trip, I will absolutely go out of my way to stop in to try the food.

A good place to stop by if you’re in the area! I’m not a coffee drinker but everyone I went with loved the coffee! As for the chai latte, I ordered it extra hot- “piping burn your mouth hot” were my words- and it came out warm… the second time also was a miss. It was also verrrrry sweet- almost like ginger bread… so if you’re not into an uber sweet chai- maybe think about another drink! The salad of the day was good but a bit on the oily side. This is just a personal preference but when I’m going for a salad, I’m trying to make a healthy choice which means a little less on the oily side would’ve been my preference. Overall, lovely staff and good vibes! I’d recommend booking too!!

What a find in the stunning small town (on the river) of Maclean on the NSW north coast. A huge roaster area with a delightful, very modern, chic cafe. Huge range of coffee blends & great food. The coffee ☕ is a cut above the rest in my humble opinion & the barrister knows how "not" to burn the blends. I had the organic & it was the best I have ever tasted. There are two areas for kids. A huge glassed in lego area for the older children & a covered outdoor area for younger children. A real find worth visiting. MacLean is a very lucky town to have such a brilliant cafe/roaster.
