Have been going here for years with the previous owners and they made THE best calamari and fish 'n chips, the best!! Yesterday I had the same order as always. It was terrible, in fact we threw most of it away. The calamari were tasteless, chips were tough, not crunchy, tough as though they had been re-fried and the fish was very strong tasting (and not in a good way) with batter that was almost burnt on the outside but sticky on the inside. It all tasted of stale oil too. The staff were not particularly friendly either. Take note new owners, lift your offerings to the standard of the last owner's or like me, your customers are going to find an alternative place to buy fish and chips!

I've read your comments after a negative review asking why people didn't call you to voice their dissatisfaction, the point is what are you going to do when they're 50 plus kilometres away on their 350 kilometre journey home and not coming back that way for another 6 months, promise them a credit note for next time? Here's a thought...get it right first time,...

Come up with the family for the day to the slash park, thought we would support a local business, Ordered 2× 1.25l drinks to share with 8 people we got 4 600mls bottles.... chips were a decent feed for us but were soggy, the Steak burger had some sort of cheap meat patty maybe sausage? the scallops were half cooked, ...Best part of the meal was the chicken nuggets which we had to drive back and collect as they were missing from the order.. U need to step up and rethink your food sales if u advertise steak (make sure its god damn steak), you are closest to this park and it was busy today u could do so much more and make a truly successful business, best regards a...

Have bought burgers here a number of times recently. Their burgers with an egg, and generous amounts of fried onion, tomato, lettuce, and beetroot, and without carrot, have been consistently huge, well-made, and delicious. You can't eat more than one. Great value for money, and so tasty. My one criticism is that the buns are too soft, but they are fine if you eat them immediately. The burger patties are charred and so good and so is the sauce. I generally don't eat meat but when I do, these are one of the items I indulge in. But you need to cut them in half to manage them, because of the size. I think they are very good...

I purchase food on behalf of a client here once a week. From what I’ve seen the food is consistently good and one thing I always notice is the smell of cooking oil - it always smells fresh when I’m sitting and waiting for the order. Today I bought lunch for myself - my client’s preferred order. Crumbed Cod with chips, plain salt, lemon and tartare for $13. It was cooked perfectly, the fish was lightly crumbed and flaked nicely. Chips were crisp, seasoned and plentiful. Friendly customer service, have some good meals available too. Open 7 days a week. Would recommend

I often only go to sandys when their manager is cooking as the food is cooked the way it should be. Last night I decided to give the burgers a go, the young lad they have cooking burgers needs to be made employee of the month, he makes a mighty damn fine burger, well balanced in all including sauces. As long as sandys has these two on I will continue going on those days.

Absolutely disgusting....out of town customer looking for a quick and easy meal, fish not cooked, chips not cooked, plus for an added bonus girl deliberately serves up burnt batter throughout ........will not be going back what a waste of money ......poor quality of service!!!
