I recently had the pleasure of discovering the Peninsula Cafe in Maylands, and I must say it was a delightful surprise. Despite living nearby my entire life, this was my first visit, and it certainly won't be my last.

The moment I stepped into the café, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior has a charming and cosy feel, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing meal or a casual coffee catch-up. The décor is tasteful, and the large windows offer a picturesque view that adds to the overall ambiance.

The menu boasts a diverse selection of dishes, and I was genuinely impressed by the delicious food. The chefs at Peninsula Café seem to have a magic touch, as every bite was bursting with flavour. From hearty breakfast options to mouth-watering lunch choices, the menu caters to a variety of tastes. The freshness of the ingredients was evident, and the presentation of each dish was impeccable.

Coffee enthusiasts, rejoice! The coffee at Peninsula Café is a true highlight. Rich, aromatic, and expertly brewed, it complemented my meal perfectly. The baristas clearly take pride in their craft, and it shows in every sip. Whether you're a caffeine connoisseur or just in need of a pick-me-up, Peninsula Cafe's coffee is sure to satisfy.

Despite the bustling crowd on the day of my visit, the service was surprisingly quick and efficient. The staff members were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. It's evident that the team at Peninsula Café values customer satisfaction and works diligently to provide a seamless dining experience.

One of the standout features of this café is its stunning view. The large windows overlook a scenic landscape, creating a serene backdrop for your dining experience. It's the perfect setting to enjoy a meal while taking in the beauty of Maylands.

In conclusion, Peninsula Café exceeded my expectations in every way. From the delectable food and top-notch coffee to the efficient service and captivating atmosphere, this hidden gem in Maylands is a must-visit. I wholeheartedly recommend Peninsula Café to locals and visitors alike. Prepare to be impressed and delighted by this charming...

I don’t leave reviews often, but I felt it was important management are aware. Our dining experience was great, until the end of our meal. We were welcomed by a very friendly and polite member of staff at the door who took our name. With Saturday mornings (arrived 9:15) understandably busy, we waited about 20-30 minutes for a table. The same member of staff seated us and had water and cutlery brought to the table. Our order was taken not long after by another staff member, who noted down an additional plate for sharing food without us having to ask. Great efficient service. We enjoyed our meal, the atmosphere was lovely, I was feeling happy and relaxed. My partner went to the bathroom and it was then that a member of staff asked if I was done and whether I wanted to order anything more. When I replied we were finished, she asked if I’d like to pay. I mentioned I was just waiting for my partner to come back from the bathroom. At this point, she said she could bring over the card machine…? I replied I would be fine with paying on the way out - after my partner was back from the bathroom - which was met with a slight frown? So that is when I felt she just wanted us out. I understand people were waiting for a table but we had only been seated max 30 minutes before - we had tea and shared a meal. If my partner had returned to the table and we were just continuously chatting without food, I can see how that might warrant being encouraged to leave.. but we’d just finished our meal and were about to leave anyway? Really unfortunate that they felt it necessary to go that extra step to rush us on. All the positive vibes from our dining experience gone...

Overpriced and no service.

Me and my wife went here because we wanted to have some scone’s. When we got here we had to wait to be seated, we wanted to be seated inside and we saw that there was no one inside so we thought we wouldn’t have to wait long. We were wrong we waited 20 minutes to be seated. When we looked at the menu to order the scones we were pretty shocked to see that they cost $14 each! For that kind of price I’m just gonna make my own. The terrible experience wasn’t over yet, when we were ready to order some lunch we went to the counter and were told some one would take our order, after waiting 30 minutes without seeing a server come anywhere near us we just decided to leave. So in total we waited about 50 minutes and didn’t even place an order, that’s pretty bad.

Owner is trying to say below that the scones are $8 per scone and that the $14 price tag includes a pot of tea. I’m gonna upload a photo of the menu where it says scones and tea are $14 pp. Any logical person would assume that pp means per person maybe it means something else. So for me and my wife to have 2 scones with some tea would cost us $28. I can’t see anywhere on the menu where it says scones cost $8 on their own. Also that means they’re charging $6 for a pot of tea, per person by the way not per pot of tea, I’ve been to places where tea is free because tea is hot water with some leafs chucked in it and is so...

Had my 60th birthday celebration at Peninsula Farm Cafe on a Sunday afternoon in early February 2025. Only one word to describe the whole event - PERFECT The food, service and atmosphere was excellent. We chose the Farm Canapes function menu, the food was freshly made, exceptional quality and of course very delicious. We were also amazed by the quantity, very generous platters that the staff frequently brought around to all the guests, everyone was very impressed especially the vegan gluten free guests, who were given their own full individual platters. No one needed dinner that night, we were all so full! The staff were brilliant - Mitch the Cafe Manager and his staff, in particular - Ryan, were outstanding, extremely professional, friendly, efficient, hard working and personable, they made everyone feel relaxed and nobody went without while Mitch, Ryan and the other staff were on the job This is a great venue, there is disable access (which we needed) and play equipment for the children. It caters for everyone. Beautiful shady trees, next to the river. A million dollar venue at a fraction of the price, perfect for our budget. I can not praise Peninsula Farm Cafe enough, if you are looking for a venue to hold your next function - look no further - this place is PERFECT

An idyllic place to eat and enjoy the views of the Swan River. Lovely maintained historic farm building with some modern touches. My second visit in 6 months and it did not disappoint. You can choose to eat outdoors under the umbrellas or indoors. We like outside for the views. The cafe is dog friendly and wheelchair friendly which is great for us as we need both. Great place for children. Lots of shade and a huge shady lawn for them to play on. A small menu to suit all tastes, including vegan. I love their Zucchini fritters with hollandaise poached eggs. Delicious! Staff are always cheerful, friendly, polite and willing to engage with customers. Food service is prompt and they don't pester you to leave as soon as you finish eating. Prices are reasonable. This cafe is popular, so check their "busy" hours on their website to time your visit. You can expect to be seated by cafe staff, so sometimes you may need to wait. Not a problem, they provide chairs on the lawns and there are games children can play to amuse themselves whilst you wait. The longest I waited was 15mins on a busy Saturday arvo. A great place for a relaxing visit. I drive 36mins to visit but so worth it, especially the food and the ambience. Will return again.
