Had a Peking duck set, like most places that do a legit Peking duck they provide you with an option for the preparation of the leftover boney parts. opted for them to be fried with salt and pepper(?) instead of the congee. Would highly recommend that option, came out really crispy and tasty although it was a little too salty.
The actual Peking duck was just alright. It has abit of a crisp to it but wasn’t as crispy as some of the other popular Peking duck joints around. I do like their plates though, which served as a guide as to how to wrap the duck - not that most would need it but it was a nice touch.
Aside from the duck, things are generally pricy here as we had a side dish of some bean sprouts, vegetables and egg which cost abit too much at $18.
Service staff were friendly and attentive, but the food took a long while to come. Perhaps the duck was freshly roasted, but there were just 3 occupied tables so not too sure how bad it’ll get if it’s a full house. Decor inside was ok, but the glass frontage was fully wrapped which almost made us think that the store was closed/ under renovation.
Overall experience was alright, worth a try perhaps but wouldn’t be back...

Preordered two whole duck sets between 8 guests few days in advance. Ordered extra dishes and flavoured pancakes when we got there.
They are known more for their ‘spring cakes/rolls’ which are essentially fillings rolled up in a sheet of crepe. You can order handmade pancakes/crepes in different flavours (plain, carrot, purple yam or spinach) with any dishes/sides and roll them up. Roast duck is just one of the many fillings on offer.
They aren’t like Simon’s or Old kingdom etc type of Peking duck restaurant, where the duck is the focus.
The cumin lamb was the standout. We ended up ordering an extra serving even though we were getting quite full. (It was just that good)
Restaurant is clean, staff were very attentive and friendly. Despite not speaking much English they were very patient and took the time to explain each dish the best they could. Service/10 👍🏻
Easy parking, directly across Coleman parade from Syndal Station.

Read moreFor a cute little shop that serves chinese food it's actually alot cleaner and brightly lit than most. The Peking duck was average but the pancakes that go with the duck were 10/10. Their other food is also super good 👍👍 Biggest turn off is that you have to bear abit with the service. I called to make a reservation for 6pm and was asked if 5.30 was alright. I said sure and went over. She looked up and down and couldn't find my booking and told me if you don't have a reservation you gotta be in and out within the hour. I said sure, as long as the food comes out timely we should be good. Gave me a sarcastic look as if I was asking for a free meal. Bad first impression that was slightly improved by the food. Also they treat their regulars alot nicer, if you...
