In my many years of culinary exploration, I have ventured far and wide, sampling countless delicious morsels from every corner of the globe. Unfortunately, every now and then, I stumble upon a place that leaves me truly dumbfounded. And so, it is with a heavy heart that I must report my experience at 2 Fat Greeks, a Greek eatery that somehow manages to defy logic with its inexplicably high ratings.
The meal started on a rather sour note with the halloumi fries, which lacked the characteristic crispy exterior and squeaky texture that one would expect. Instead, these flaccid, lifeless sticks of cheese lay on the plate, like Icarus after his ill-fated flight towards the sun. A far cry from the culinary excellence that should grace the table of any respectable Greek establishment.
As I proceeded to the calamari, I hoped that things would take a turn for the better. Alas, I was met with disappointment once again. The calamari was rubbery, dry, and had an eerie resemblance to discarded bicycle inner tubes. It was a dish that would have made Poseidon himself weep salty tears into the Aegean Sea.
The piรจce de rรฉsistance, however, was the egregious lack of seasoning throughout the meal and the lukewarm nature of the dishes. Greek cuisine is known for its bold flavors, expertly crafted with a deft hand and a mastery of Mediterranean herbs and spices. At 2 Fat Greeks, it seemed as though the kitchen had forgotten the basic tenets of flavor, leaving their dishes tragically underseasoned and devoid of any taste. The tepid temperature of the food only served to amplify its inherent mediocrity, casting a pall over what should have been a celebration of Hellenic culinary traditions.
To add insult to injury, the service was equally disappointing. The staff seemed to have adopted a "quantity over quality" approach, constantly rushing to remove plates that still harbored traces of uneaten food, as if attempting to expunge the evidence of their culinary shortcomings.
Considering the exorbitant prices of the dishes, I found myself questioning the enigmatic popularity of this restaurant. 2 Fat Greeks not only fails to deliver on the promise of authentic Greek cuisine, but also manages to tarnish the reputation of a rich culinary tradition. In the end, my experience at 2 Fat Greeks can only be described as a Greek tragedy of gastronomical...

We recently ate at the restaurant 2fatgreeks and was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was lively, with decor that made it feel like you were in Greece ๐ฌ๐ท
The mussels are definitely worth it โ huge as serving and flavourful ๐
My favorite dish was the mixed grill set - it had a wonderful variety of meats cooked to perfection, served with a tasty Greek salad. The chicken was especially flavorful and tender compared to the pork (which they use shoulder and belly cuts). Their pita bread was also amazing - soft, fluffy, and just perfect!
The service was attentive, and the food came out quickly. The portions for each dish were very generous - especially the mains ๐. Each dish had amazing flavor and left me feeling completely satisfied.

ย ย ย Read moreHad the gyros lamb wrap and found the meat had alot of grisle and was not tender at all, the saginaki was extremely salty to the stage both myself and my friend could not finish it, yet this is one of my favourite greek dishes .. the service was extremely slow considering we were there on opening 11.30 and there was hardly any people at that time. The waiter well can't give more stars as I think he could improve try conversing with your patrons about anything while they're browsing the menu or even tell us about the dishes you may recommend that's great for business shows you care it also makes for a great rapall and brings them back, friendliness is the key to successfulness in this environment. I mean at this time of the year( xmas) there's plenty of conversation starters its not that hard to have a short convo and move on, take the time it means alot in the world of hospitality and too the survival of any business. The key to a great business is the service you give to make it memorable, so the patrons walk way wanting to tell there friends to go or to attend there again. We would of liked to order more drinks but didn't bother as we weren't asked or waited on unless we got the waiters attention yet he was standing right beside us serving another...I would think that while finishing the table service you'd turn around and check if the table right next to you would like anything else Anyway just a head's up for the owners things that could be Improved. So we are giving...
