Udon doesn't taste authentic. it just tastes like chinese soup and vegetables with udon noodles. As they also asked me whether I wanted ramen instead of udon, I suspect they use some other recipe and just substitute the noodles with udon noodles. Much better going to Don Udon nearby if you're looking for genuine udon. Feels like Chinese cuisine masquerading as a Japanese restaurant, save for the sushi (e.g. rolls, nigiri) in which case you should just go to Ichiba nearby.
