What an amazing and wonderful Korean restaurant near a strip of restaurants in Whitehorse Road, Balwyn, this little gem is something you need to try. There doesn’t seem to be much dining space, but there is more space further inside the place. There is also some seating outside to enjoy on a warm summer evening. The place can get busy, so if you are two or more, I would recommend booking. The design is really neat and Korean style, and the staff are friendly and helpful and can recommend good traditional Korean dishes. The barbecue is so amazing, but you need to be a minimum of two people. If you are alone, try one of the many amazing Korean chicken, pork or beef dishes. My favourite dishes are the Bulgogi dishes on sizzling plates, the beef or pork one is a must try. The Korean fried rice is also delicious, much different than the Chinese fried rice. The egg on the rice is really yummy. The prices are moderate and very affordable and the place is simple to reach by transport. I would recommend a visit to...

This is the kind of restaurant you can go and always find a seat at. It’s quiet and simple - but the food and service is fantastic.

My family goes here often and we love, in particular, the nourishing ginseng chicken soup, the fried chicken, squid bulgogi. The grilled meats with perilla leaves is also fantastic!

The service here is above and beyond. Even on the quiet days, the shop owner is friendly, speedy and greets us sooo warmly.

Only note - the restaurant toilets are up a few flights of stairs. So if you have mobility issues etc, I probably would take note of this / get...

I am Korean and need to have some kind of spicy soup from time to time during the winter. I used to travel all the way down to the city from Kew.

A week ago, by accident, this place came under my radar, so I gave it a try and was prepared for some disappointments such as too localising (not real Korean cuisine), sweetness and so on. I tried beef spicy soup (육계장) and it turned out to be one of best beef spicy soup I have ever had in Melbourne, and I went back to have the same meal this past Tuesday. I felt resuscitated each time.

I definitely won’t need to travel to the...

Interesting. They've got all types of Korean food-- SKFC (South Korean fried chicken), hot pot, rice bowls, sizzling bbq meats, stone pot, stews, even korean style burgers, kimchi quesadillas and bulgogi burritos! Their bbq set is good for two and they allow for 1 person to order this set, and on a price comparison is cheaper to other restaurants who charge $76 for 1 without a partner. I tried the LA Galbi. It wasn't bad, but they could improve on their marinade for it to taste even better. I'll definitely come back again to try their other food. 3.7 stars out of 5.
