Read more2 of the 3 dishes we ordered were both “not available” however, we were only made aware when the dishes were due to be served (we weren’t advised at the time of ordering). I was so shocked at the calamari when it arrived on our table… I couldn’t even count 6 pieces on the plate and it was filled with so much “mixed lettuce” to fill the plate and make the portion look full. A tacky way to present a dish. Just serve it on a smaller plate. I would not call this authentic Vietnamese and we won’t be returning as the service was unprofessional with staff yelling at each other (in their own language) and we also noticed a few hygiene issues behind the bar, Eg. Dirty cloth and cleaning sprays right next to plates of food that were just about to be served to customers. There are plenty more authentic Vietnamese places in surrounding suburbs near Glenferrie Rd or Victoria St - ones that serve authentic Vietnamese food the proper way. We were really looking forward to trying this place but it just didn’t meet our expectations and to be honest, isn’t a true reflection of what Vietnamese food is all about. The reviews that say the food is authentic… questionable. Not sure they’ve had real...
Read moreJust be aware that the prices on the online menu are less than what you'll find in the restaurant. When I arrived I realised this and asked if I could have the meal for the price they advertised on their online menu, to which they replied no! I told the manager this is false advertising and legally they need honour their advertised prices, but he refused, saying we can change our prices whenever we want! I said to him, so you advertise your prices online get customers in and then hit them with a higher price on your printed menu when they arrive and he replied, I don't know why you are upset about this. I was both disappointed and shocked at his response, so out of principal I left without ordering and went elsewhere. In my opinion it was a complete waste of my time coming to this place or attempting to negotiate with the manager. 100% false advertising and 100% bad customer service. The owner has responded since learning I've made this public on Google reviews and tried to sugar coat the matter through their response, but I assure you, this isn't the type of reception I was given by the manager on that day. Very poor customer...
