Beaumont Kew — Hotel in Melbourne

BE AWARE for a maze of nightmares! deserves zero stars.. enter the Dark Ages with Beaumont Kew staff stereotypical treatment! Hygiene is significantly appalling it is soo horrible we had to leave once we were told long stays is ONLY basic cleaning once a week! Management told to throw our own garbage in the big dumpster and left with wet towels, no replenishing of toiletries. Ridiculous amount for (14 days @ $2,730) Incredibly backward disrespectful - not open minded staff- distorts vital information. Greedy management all about hitching the price up for the most vulnerable in society and NOT meeting the basic human rights of safety and no minimum standard of cleanliness. Evident that deep cleaning is non-existent.

Aggressive long term tenant handled our laundry, escalated abuse and violence, chucking our laundry within the first 30 minutes of drying then tramping on our children's laundry and chucking it all over the laundry room. Failure of management to deescalate and paramount negligence to ball pass it over to be told call 000 by the management. Any one can face any trouble at this place and can't prove because cameras are there but management stated to police its not working! Just be bless to have an eyewitness, watch out for the staff that gossips and has the best interest in distorting info to police (Laundry done 3 pm afternoon not at 7am)!

Why is this accepted as four star rank for a hotel, no idea how this got this trashy mess exist in Kew, is yet to be investigated on their dark age nightmarish treatment. Very poor management skills, the hotel management were not very accommodating to the luggage transported with the help of City life community care van to place at the reception. After more than an hour waiting at the reception with all our luggage we were first assigned to a much smaller studio with a strong odour of heavy smoking and a noisy duct ventilation system, video is available. We could not agree to jeopardise our family's health and safety.

Authorities need a clear check of the health and safety. After voicing up the extreme unhygienic and unkept condition and placing the children's sleeping area next to the stove. We were then told all rooms are the same, just before we were ready to leave the hotel was quickly assigned to the neighboring next building.

Management failed to direct me to zero policies, instead the manager told me to SMS her higher manager which we had done immediately to get an explanation. We tried to follow this up a number of times WITHOUT an honest response and left us in even in Darker times hence -Dark Age! Repeated loop of never getting accommodated hygienically and safely rather faced with discrimination, stigma and existing inequalities from...

This hotel honestly needs a makeover…. Stayed here in first week of April and was a shocker… the room is so so dirty… this place needs to employ good cleaners that clean and remove germs and bed bugs… they need to wash laundry… The need a huge make over!! Our room had bedbugs and blood stain small on the bedsheets.. we were so so itchy all night long… The bathroom shower is broken so everytime you shower you almost slip and fall… the shower door swings open in the bath so you have to be so careful. Because of the hazard and bedbugs we had to ask to be relocated into a different room.. the next day we were in a different room with better bathroom but the bedsheets were still so fricken dirty!! Yellow stain marks on covert and bedsheets from GOd KNOWs what.. yuck 🤮… we couldn’t change as we had paid in advance so we had to sleep in cold with no blanket as it was so dirty.. we cranked up the ac heating so we don’t freeze but this was the only way to sleep even though was uncomfortable as well… Most annoying part of all was when we checked out ( which 4 nights seemed like it was never gona end) the lady told me to wait at the reception whilst she was gona check the room to see if all good then to give me back my bond. It was freezing wet rainy cold, Im itchy from the bedbugs and sick and she comes back and accuses me of 1 missing pillow.. we threw all the pillows on the floor cos they were all so dirty and slept on our clothes so why on earth would I steal an ugly dirty bed bug filled pillow. When I told her to check the floors she said oh no you go check and come back maybe you put it in your luggage .. I could not believe how rude she was and what she was saying… why the f would I steal your stinky ugly dirty bed bug stained pillow.. I think even salvos would turn it away like wtaf…. Anyways she made me go back to the room , and check the pillow. I came back telling her and took photo that the pillows were all on floor cos they were dirty and I didn’t want to sleep in them and the fact they were all 5 of them on the bed now. I took photo of it on my phone and showed her … she had the nerve to tell me again “let me go back and check” whilst keeping me in the rain and cold… She later came back and said ok it’s all good now, here is your bond of $50 back …. What an absolute nightmare!!

I would not stay at this hotel if it was for free… There was 0 room service during our entire almost 1 week stay and service was absolutely rubbish !!

I would not recommend this place at all!! The only good thing is the location but Id never ever go back again to this place despite location because of...

Absolutely abysmal - a huge warning to anyone who is looking to stay!

From the offset the service was extremely disappointing. We stayed here as a large group and felt like we were a hinderance rather than a group of paying guests. There was only one lady working on the desk who proceeded to tell us that the rooms were not ready because we kept changing our room configurations. The 'manager' who wasn't there (and wouldn't attend) told our tour leader to go away for 20 minutes whilst it was sorted, which after another hour it still wasn't. Eventually we were checked in and despite asking for queen beds we were given two singles and told to effectively deal with it until the next day as there was no one to fix them.

The next day the beds were just made 'together', however this was only with a double doona and two single fitted sheets (Seriously... is this really a hotel??), but not bound together so my husband fell through.

The following morning we asked a lady at the counter (someone should really give this hotel a uniform as checking people in whilst wearing a tracksuit was less than professional) who after she was moaning about our group being a hindrance to another guest said she would eventually get our beds made properly.

We also only had fresh towels for ONE day of our stay as there was no housekeeping for the rest of our stay and any time you asked the receptionist (who was seldom there... but replaced by a lovely sign saying to call a number, but only if it was an EMERGENCY) for anything you got the impression you were less than important.

Poor cleanliness, a disgusting smell throughout the reception and hallways, lack of communication and a general feeling of not being welcome marred an experience and I cannot urge people enough to never stay here.
