Walked and was greeted kindly by the two staff members. I ordered my coffee and had a question about one of the pastries, the woman helping me seemed knowledgeable about how it's made and highly recommended it. She even picked a good one for me to try. It was when it was time to pay that my opinion of this woman changed drastically. My coffee and pastry was $8.20. I gave her $50, clearly a yellow note. She gave me change for a $20. When I contested the change she had given me, she was adamant that I gave her $20. I stood my ground and continued to argue about the change. She opened the cash register, stared at it, and eventually gave up. She handed me the difference but had a puzzling annoyed look on her face. It isn't and shouldn't be my job to get the correct change or to persuade her the truth. Even though she gave me my change, I continued to kindly tell her that I did give her a $50 note because I didn't want her to think I was stealing from her. During this time a customer standing behind me said, "if it's any help, she did give you fifty." Even though I knew I was right, it made me felt better that I had a witness. The lady helping me just said, "oh okay." No apology or remorse whatsoever. I grabbed my coffee and pastry, and just left. I won't be returning because of the way I was treated. I'm sorry if other customers have lied to you previously, but I shouldn't receive the brunt of their deception. I hope that once you've counted your inventory and calculated your money that you realise your mistake. Please learn to treat each customer with respect as an individual, not as a group. The coffee was average. The pastry was crispy and tasty, exactly the way she described it.

‘When is a Chunky Meat Pie a REAL Chunky Meat Pie’? 3/5 for this one. Still searching for an amazing ‘Chunky Meat Pie’ and as each bite into this one, reveals most likely & in all fairness a 2.5 out of 5, mainly for the ‘Lack of Chunky Meat’. Again majority gelatinous mixture with fine segments of meat but not a consistent ‘Chunky Meat Pie’. Overall, could be tastier, the gelatinous mixture is slightly bland, however, the potato on top was really good. On I go, still in search of the absolute BEST ‘Chunky Meat Pie’……

Super clean bakery offering huge variety of sweet and savoury items. Pies at $5.50 make a very affordable lunch in an otherwise expensive cafe strip. There's also family size quiches for $20 and amazing full size baked cheese cakes at $45. This venue offers ample table options inside and out. A handy spot for a quick bite when visiting the beach or cycling Beach Road. Free council parking just 4 shops away makes this an easy stop.
