Bay Beach Pizza and Pasta — Restaurant in Melbourne

i came in last week and ordered a bbq chicken pizza with extra cheese and a garlic focaccia. I was told the wait would be 20 - 25 minutes, so i came back half an hour later and then overheard the owner saying we better start it now (50 minutes in total). I understand Friday nights can be busy but you literally had no other customers but me, the pizza was disgusting and the chicken tasted like it had been frozen and off, despite asking for extra cheese and being charged for it there was almost no cheese at all, just cold onions, off chicken and bbq sauce that slid right off a poorly undercooked base. I specifically enquired about the garlic bread and you informed me its a focaccia, It wasn't. It was a simple cheese lavash. Don't lie to your customers mate. OVERPRICED, SCAMMER, NO IDEA ABOUT FOOD.

Edit: I've just seen your comment now, based on your recent reviews i'd say nothing has improved. You mentioned your food is prepared fresh daily and i genuinely believe thats a lie. The audacity that you have to question the validity of other customers reviews is appalling and borders on gaslighting. Please learn to take accountability for your actions or i highly doubt your business will last...

I’m going to be completely honest, the toppings; Peperoni and ham, were very tasty! However the pizza base is horrible!! No crispy crunch, no fluffy bread texture, nothing that makes a pizza base a pizza base!!! It's hard, flat and extremely tough to chew, it has no flavor what so ever so it ends up completely bringing down the whole pizza.

I ordered a Hawaiian pizza; What I got was a ham pizza. If you’re going to call a pizza a Hawaiian pizza it has to have enough pineapple to taste like a Hawaiian pizza, the occasional pieces of pineapple isn’t enough. The ham was very nice, the pineapple was extremely lacking, and absolutely no cheese what so ever???

My partner ordered the pepperoni pizza; The pepperoni was the star, and only ingredient on the pizza.. It was oily, and once again absolutely no cheese on the pizza?

WHERE DO I START??? First of all, our order came almost an hour late with no explanation as to why it was late or any update with the arrival of our order. I ordered the carbonara fettuccine and it honestly looked like it was frozen and just reheated in a microwave and tasted like it. It also came with little sauce, instead it was DRENCHED in oil. There was an order of the “Greek salad” and it was just lettuce with barely any other contents, this is completely disregarding the fact that it missed any indication of a traditional “Greek salad”. There was an order of the meat lovers pizza, it came cold and the base of the pizza was undercooked. There was an order of spaghetti bolognese, it had little sauce, meat and flavour. Disappointed is an understatement. There is no excuse for this kind of service. DO BETTER. The food we received was below average and there nothing redeeming about it.
