Benino's Pizza — Restaurant in Melbourne

DO NOT EVER ORDER HERE!!!! Unless you'd like food poisoning. If I could rate this place less than one star I would. My partner and I ordered delivery. First of all no one bothered to mention cash only for delivery. Secondly, we ordered a seafood pizza and cheesy garlic bread. The cheesy garlic bread was burnt to an absolute crisp. Hard as a rock, you could throw it at someone's head and cause damage and the seafood pizza was absolutely putrid. Smelt completely off and rancid, my partner isn't one to complain so he tried to power through the smell and ended up vomiting up the two pieces he tried to power through. I called the store and asked for a refund and was met with extreme rudeness 'the seafood is fresh, its not our fault', we decided to go down to the store with the pizza and get them to visually see the absolute dog food they served us and they refused to give us a refund. Only after a screaming match gave us a partial refund. Absolutely disgusting premises, food is definitely not fresh, all defrosted and no coolers anywhere so all food is room temp. I am so disappointed with Benino's...When I was younger, growing up in the area, I used to go here all the time and loved it. The owners were friendly and the prices low. Now, in the last few years, it has changed hands and I think they lack customer service. They wouldn't allow us to change a garlic bread roll from our order to a small garlic pizza...so we asked, can we pay the difference to do so, but instead they wanted to charge us $5 !!(nearly the cost to buy it as an extra). Then, when the delivery arrives, the driver asks us for $5 more than the listed price for the deal we got. He made us call the pizza shop to clarify. Upon calling them they said there was an extra $5 delivery fee!!!! This is ridiculous, it is not printed anywhere on the pamphlet, nor is there an asterisk next to the term "Delivery deals". A delivery deal implies that delivery is included in the cost! Not the way I would conduct my own hospitality business that's for sure. The pizza was alright, but we won't...

Jan 2018 10 month’s on the dude is still angry bangry!!! This time oven has broken down!! Yikes!! Good news is... pizza is still pretty good!!

March 2017 The pizza here is actually pretty good. The owner is a bit grumpy though. And has no business sense! Or idea of customer service. Had a whole bunch of new customers walk in and he told them to wait. Rather screamed actually as he was already in that mode when speaking to workings.

Although the pizza here are good I will always remember it to be one with a mad grumpy owner!! haha

I would've taken the order and money first!!! Don't let customers leave!!! haha

Anyways... pizza here is goood!!! Nice base not too much dough and has a bit of crisp. The toppings were spot on. and plentiful.
