We went here for a birthday dinner the day after valentines day and soon as we got there the lady at the front said to us a couple of things were off the menu due to the massive power outages all over melbourne because of the storm we had about 8 people at the table (which they crammed together because they stuffed our booking up) anyway the food tasted alright at first until the next day coming back up because atleast 4 of us had food poisoning im guessing they should have thrown more stuff out instead of trying to save $$$$ and put peoples lives at risk so anyway one of us called up for a refund on the meals that caused the people who got sick and were refused cause we had no “proof” .. well one of us had a medical certificate and it was a 8+ hour power outage the biggest in the history of victoria that day and more than half the people at our table had food poisoned and some others had upset stomachs all around the same time because one of the group was calling up everyone else too see if they were having the same symptoms and these are all people that dont see eachother frequently.. really sucks because it was my birthday the previous day and somebody elses on the next day (friday15th) kinda ruined the whole weekend but anyway thanks for choosing to save that tasty salmonella chicken for our table
The management is horrible and owner clearly dont care about there customers if you look at the reviews and the service of this plce they dont even respond to emails...
Read moreIf I could give this place a 0, I would! So I had my sons birthday lunch here and the staff were so rude! From the moment we got there we were told to finish up by 2. But the food took a long time to come out so the time limit was stressful so I asked for an extension and after the supervisor rudely said “No I can’t do anything, you need to leave by 2”. He then came back and said “iv been on leave and made a mistake, you got til 2:30”. And he again said that very rudely and pushy. Then some of my guests didn’t order yet because they were still looking at the menu, the supervisor again came up and said “I suggest you order now because you need to be out of here by 2:30” very rudely. Then after that we got constant reminders to be out of there on time which was quite stressful. I didn’t enjoy my lunch here, getting reminded 5-6 times. We were cutting the cake and the supervisor asked one of the staff to tell me once again to hurry up because we needed to be out of there by 2:30. I felt very stressed. The staff here are just plain rude! One of my guests spoke up to be told by the supervisor “I wasn’t rude at all” not even apologetic or anything. No customer service, especially after spending so much here. Another thing is I had to ask the staff multiple times for plates, a knife, to clear the table, for my ice cream cake and they all were very rude, forgot or took their time. Read moreThe actual aggregated score for our dinner tonight was 4.14 stars, this score was rounded to the nearest whole number star rating based on the average of the following list of criteria: Customer service (2 stars) - meals should probably all come out at once, 10 min gap between the first meal brought out and the last meal delivered to the table. Prices (5 stars) - cant complain very reasonable. Menu (5 stars) - Excellent range and tasty options, cant complain Food quality (5 stars) - excellent, no complaints at the table. Speed of meals (2 stars) - About 55 mins with a medium rare steaks at the table. Was very busy, but certainly too slow. Probably of no fault of the kitchen staff as the customer base seems to have outgrown the size of the facilities. Needs a large scale renovation probably, but the locals dont appear to be worried about the wait. Special diets (5 stars) - Were accommodating for my sister who cant eat a lot of stuff. Along with sufficient vegetarian items on the menu for 1 person on our table. Portion size (5 stars) - Not to big, not too small.
Final note: probably best not to glad wrap side salads in bowls in the front servery where everyone can see at the end of the shift. Pretty easy for customers to work out they are going to be used the following day rather...
