Today 17 of us come to celebrate my grandson , we all ordered our food , I’m highly allergic to fish so I ordered stir fried wok vegetables, nothing anywhere saying contains fish !! One smell and I knew there was fish in it . My daughter went to the kitchen counter the cashier and the food expeditor both apologised said please bring the card over we will refund that right away ! One of the food waiter , had nothing to do with this conversation he interjected himself ( Indian with tinted glasses) decided he would raise his voice at us because we SHOULD have INFORMED them of my allergies! Normal I would but considering it was a vegetarian meal o didn’t feel the need to mention this . He kept raising his voice at myself and my daughter to told him to stop several times and he continued to yell at us making a scene. Finally the manager Steve come over asked what the problem was and the Indian man still kept yelling at us , I felt so threatened I had to ask one of my other daughters to get my son . He come over and now we have the manager , the waiter yelling at us all that this is somehow all my fault !!! We have eaten here many times without this sort of incident they decided they were kicking us all out because my son told the Indian man to stop yelling his mum and his sisters or he would knock him out ( yes he shouldn’t have said this but we were over 20 minutes of him yelling at us )!. My mouth went dry and I’m shaking and I told them this but the “ manager” & the server both wouldn’t stop with the carry on all over $20 . I have to take two Valium and almost passed out . I’m so allergic to fish this would have killed me as I didn’t have my epiPen or antihistamines with me . Another server told us that Indian man has no people skills and yells at customers often!!! How is he still employed is beyond my comprehension Poor form on both the manager and this Indian man They finally refunded me but it wasn’t even the correct amount,I left it as I didn’t want more hassles , he again said to my daughter he shouldn’t be doing this because it’s says at the bottom of the menu an allergy warning DONT GO HERE UNLESS YOU ENJOY BEING BERATED BY TWO...

Disclaimer - Review is about the function hall and not for the hotel. 🙂

Had our baby's birthday event at the function hall which turned out quite well in the end. Hall had been setup as per the plan and staff were very cooperative on that day. Room was pretty comfortable to host 70+ peoples. There is a children's playroom beside the function hall which kept the juniors busy. Function room had 2 good size televisions to play any slides. Speakers were also available to be connected with bluetooth to groove on your playlist. We had ordered for the cocktail menu which was decent enough. Although food arrived a bit late, but it was manageable. Bar and bistro service was pretty fast. All the staff were cheerful/helping during the event. They allowed us to do the setup in morning hours.

Improvements - Yeah, it was a bit of effort to follow-up with the management team. But, the person had fallen sick, so can't blame them exactly. May be the owners can keep someone as a backup manager for cases like this. Also, during the event although the staff were very efficient but we felt they were bit understaffed to manage that many peoples as few basic things like replacing the used glasses/cups, refilling the water jugs were getting delayed, or placing a placard for the veg/non-ved counters was never done. Again onus on owners like to have 1-2 more dedicated staff for the event. Also, few pictures of the hall and how the food will be served will be really useful for the customers who want to check this place as an option. So, a catalogue will definitely help.

This place has the potential to be a great venue for we locals. Hope the arrangement to be more perfect in the future. But, given the situation, we felt they gave their best. So definitely I would opt here for the second time and would like to...

Our visit toniggt to Berwick Springs Hotel left us with mixed feelings. Upon arrival, the venue looked nice, but it quickly became clear that they were understaffed. We waited longer than expected to be greeted and shown to our table, which set the tone for the evening.

Ordering our meals was a smooth process, and most of the food arrived in a reasonable time. However, my wife's lamb shanks never made it to the table. My own meal – a chicken parmigiana – was lukewarm and disappointingly dry. I went up to ask about the missing lamb shanks and was told they'd already been delivered. After I returned to the table and confirmed they hadn’t, I went back, only to be met with a sharp response that it was being made and would be out shortly.

By the time the dish finally arrived—after both of us had checked in with staff multiple times—I had already finished my meal. While the lamb shanks themselves were cooked well and enjoyable, the delay and confusion took away from the overall dining experience. On the plus side, they did offer a complimentary dessert to apologise, but even then, the service felt scattered. We had three different staff approach our table asking for feedback, which felt a bit chaotic and uncoordinated.

The highlight of our visit was definitely the kids' zone. Our children had a great time playing, which made the experience more enjoyable for the whole family. The hotel has potential, especially for families, but clearly needs to improve organisation, kitchen communication, and overall service delivery.

We may return in the future, but we hope to see smoother service and more attention to...
