Have been around the neighborhood for around three months and if not daily, I’ve been enjoying the food from Blue Fin for almost most of the time. Here are some meals that I would definitely recommend:) For starters, Tempura prawn&vegetables is a MUST! I’ll never get tired of the crunchy texture and wonderful taste! I’d really love to try okonomiyaki, the Japanese pancake, yet I don’t get the chance to try, which is so sad! ( secret tip: they don’t put it on the summer menu, but you can always ask for it, also the Nasu Denkagu!) For rice and noodle dishes, I’ll go for Wagyu beef don for sure, I’m more of a sweet tooth so if you’re more into neutral flavor, Wonton noodle soup will always be a good choice especially as it’s getting cold. ( Deluxe bento box is a pro version of the don, try it if you like the don) For mains, Wassabi Beef!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ll never forget! But others are pretty good too! Butter prawn, ginger garlic and spring onion and scallops are all sooooooo good!!!!! You can always give it a huge trust and wait to be surprised! For fish&chips I’ve always heard people saying it’s the best they’ve ever had. I was born in a more rice-based country, I shouldn’t be the one to get to really judge, but I love the fried and grilled fish also the burger is really good! I would say it’s really hard to decide which one to order! Anyway! This is a shop you don’t want to miss and I would love love to be back again sometime in the future!

My husband and I decided to try out this local restaurant and were really pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! The char kuay teow and nasi goreng were flavourful and had an authentic “wok hay”. The oysters were also very juicy and sweet (much better than the ones I had a Queen Victoria market!). The yuzu sauce was an absolutely perfect pairing with the oysters! What a hidden gem with an affordable price tag to boot. Our host Guan Guan was also incredibly attentive and friendly despite it being busy.

Food was okay. The flake was tiny and it was expensive for not much fish. The medium chips were kids size, even though the box on display seemed quite big. I was told my food would be ready in an hour when I placed my order. I almost walked away. I have never come across that type of wait. It was not very busy around so it must have been online orders or uber eats. Unfortunately, it was too late for the kids to wait, they had to eat something else. At least they call you to collect it.

Jade is by far the rudest and most unwelcoming hospitality employee that I have come across in my life so far. She was rude and had negative attitude towards us and other people waiting in line to be served. We went to order a variety sashimi pack and straight away she abruptly said we’re only doing the fish and chips menu. Then I pointed out that the sashimi pack is actually already pre made there in the window. She had a dumbfounded look on her face with no response. Then I asked to order a fish and chips pack, although swap the flake for a whiting and she simply refused to do it (even though they’re the same price). She could not give me an answer on why this wasn’t possible, she just refused to do so with arrogance and hate. Not sure if you were having a bad day Jade but you are costing the owner money. I can see that from the other reviews that have been posted about her. We cancelled our entire order of 4 people and decided to leave. There was also a table of 5 people who left just before we did due to their experience with Jade. Was very disappointed as my partner is a local and has been talking about this place for a while now, only to be faced with Jade’s rude and disgusting service. Unfortunately we will not be coming back here again and we will be telling our friends and family around the Peninsula of...

Went here on a busy Friday night in summer hoping for fish and chips, but unfortunately, they had stopped taking orders from about 6.45 pm, instead offering Japanese food. There were people standing around who had been waiting for an hour for their fish and chips. After about 30-40 mins of waiting, the Japanese food we ordered finally arrived. $50 for a Salmon Don and Fried Noodles was certainly steep, considering they had just fried it up in a wok. I think this place is really confused. Is it Japanese? General Asian cuisine? Fish and Chips? Would love them to pick one of those and just focus on that, as opposed to doing everything. Whilst the staff were friendly enough and were clearly trying their best, they just need to simplify their business to cater to what people...
