Hello we are the “chip reviewers.” My name is Sam and my profesional colleague David.

Chip quality These were some banger chips. Well salted, well cooked and well managed.

The place The place was quite nice but a few things were off. The shop was clean and nice to sit at . The other customers were kind and enjoyable to sit around. A little loud but respectable for a place with ice cream and gelato on a steamer of a day. Had one issue, there were air conditioners in the place, as the shop is placed on the peninsula which is very reasonable, the temperature controller was on the roof ( see picture 1 ). This might have to be fixed before the next summer.

Customer service As for it being a shop on the peninsula I wasn’t expecting our chips to come out as fast as they did at the dunes golf club. ( see our review on the dunes golf course on Googles page ) I feel the chips could have come a little quicker. As there was not any body else ordering chips. There was one waitress who was collecting dishes, and every time she was coming back to the kitchen with a round of dishes she would stare at us. I’m not sure what we were doing except eating our chips. We might have been tasting the chips a bit weirdly but remember we are chip experts. She might have just also wanted to collect our empty chip trying plates.

Overall It was a great little place located on the peninsula 30 seconds from the beach. Great to get chips as they are high quality. You can get other lunch type things like sandwiches and burgers. They also do a breakfast menu from 7am to 12 noon. Highly recommend if coming down the Blairgowrie and looking for some good chipys.

Came in this morning wanting to try out beach box again since I heard there was new management and as far as I’m concerned the place has gone down hill. What happened to the lovely barista that would great me every time I came in! Now you guys have a grouchy dude who can barely make a coffee right, front and centre! it seems likes they’ve replaced all the old charismatic staff with new staff that just don't quite know what they’re doing and don’t seem like they want to be there! Not only has the customer service and coffee quality dropped dramatically but it seems as if everything is kept in the bain Marie now and like all the sandwiches are kept for days instead of being made fresh. Quite disappointed considering what it used to be…. To add to this, the response from the owner is astounding. I can confidently say the dim sims and potato cakes I had today seemed to be 20 minutes old or undercooked. My coffee was cold and tasted like it had been run through the coupler twice. What has happened to this Cafe, it has gone downhill!!!! I have been coming here almost everyday for the past 5x years & I always had Nicole, one of your amazing employees serve me with the biggest smile on her face. I have been away overseas & have only just gone back to work last week ... I was extremely disappointed to hear that she is no longer an employee of yours. She was always so friendly to me & anybody who came through your doors. I have been asking around to find out what happened as I knew she loved what she did (that always came out in the way she handled customers) & have noticed there are plenty of regulars who also knew Nicole very well that used to come to your Cafe who have now moved on to other Cafes in the area as they are all about the service & friendliness towards customers. Unfortunately, this has left a bad taste in my mouth. You won't be seeing me again.

P.S - Owners clearly need to work on their responses to customers providing Negative Feedback. It's laughable...
