Hazardous Experience at Bukhara Restaurant.
I, along with a group of friends, visited this restaurant recently and encountered a concerning issue. Two of the serving bowls used for our meal were chipped. Initially, due to the dim ambiance, the damage was not visible. However, while taking a second serving, we noticed the chips. Upon closer inspection, we found another chipped bowl. This was particularly alarming as we had four toddlers dining with us, who unknowingly consumed food served in these bowls.
We immediately informed the manager. While he apologized and offered to replace the food and bowls, we declined as we were nearly done with our meal and did not want to waste food. We also requested him to inspect all serving utensils in the restaurant to ensure no other customer faces such risks. As an apology, the manager offered to waive the charges for the two affected dishes and include complimentary desserts.
However, when it came time to settle the bill, we were charged for the desserts despite his earlier assurance. On confronting him, the manager denied making the promise and insisted we pay the full amount. To avoid further confrontation, we paid and left.
This experience has left us deeply concerned about the restaurantās safety standards. Serving food in chipped bowls poses a significant health hazard to diners, especially young children. Should any health issues arise from this incident, it raises serious questions about accountability.
We plan to report this matter to the appropriate authorities for a thorough inspection of the restaurantās practices to ensure no other customers are exposed to such risks. We urge diners to inspect the utensils used before consuming their food and remain cautious.

The place: 10/10
We were sold looking at the restaurant interior decors and ambience. Simple, classic and elegant. All our guests had a really great time at Bukhara and really complimented us on the venue choice.
The Food: 10/10
We ordered our takeaway before the function to decide on the menu. I got to say this was the best Indian food we tasted in Melbourne. They have dishes from various parts of India and they have done justice to the dishes authenticity. We tried goat chettinad, himachali tawa murgh - 10/10. Their naan bread is so soft never had something like this before. After the party, all our guests gave compliments over and over on the food most of them personally commended Shiv the owner.
Hospitality: 10/10
From the start Shiv was very accommodating might be a bit tricky to get hold of him over phone or at the restaurant that is understandable given he is busy running a finest dine in Indian restaurant in Tarneit. He accommodated our needs. Gave really good suggestions on the birthday menu to diversify the menu, which was very well complimented by our guests. During the event he and his team were giving 200% to get everything running, they were very well organised. Food was freshly prepared and refilled. Our guests took notice of the same and complimented Shiv and team on their hospitality.
Shiv as the face of the restaurant earns a 10/10.
Verdict: We have decided to host any future functions here and some of our guests mentioned the same. We are also guaranteed to return for a dine in. 10/10 Overall.
I would gladly recommend this place for my...

Been here a couple of times and canāt fault. Food and service is on par
Service: The wait staff is helpful and friendly. They know the menu well and answered the questions I had without having to go back and ask other staff/kitchen. They also helped me select items from menu a couple of times.
Ambience: It has nice decor inside, the walls look fabulous and the venue is reasonably clean. I like how they have disposable paper on tables so I can put my hand up while I eat without worrying it might be greasy or sticky. The place can be a bit overcrowded at times (I mean the food is amazing, itās gonna be full house) with only enough space between tables for one person to walk around, itās definitely not a two person lane.
Food: This is the star of the show. They donāt skimp back on quality (or fats, but hey fat is flavour). Authentic Indian restaurant style food, this is not a home cook style venue and is definitely restaurant food and is well made. Some of the dishes are creamy and sits on the heavier side, but we are not here to loose weight, we here to enjoy good food. I have my friends driving down all the way from north suburbs to eat here, that alone should say how great the meals here are. Except for one time they served me lamb instead of goat, this place rocks and will not disappoint.
Special shout out to the tandoori chicken, it is truly one of the best items in the menu. Well marinated chicken with a great...
