Read through the points for food, staff and abience to judge yourself and justify the rating.
Food:
As per the staff, the chicken is pre-marinated (which makes sense) but they could not prepare a chilly free dish for kids. The staff suggested and assured that we should take Malai Chicken Tikka (Mild) as it would be good for kids and she would not add any spices. It was still very spicy and kids were not able to eat the second bite. Kids friendly rating (1/5).
Excessive oil/butter and the burned part of the garlic bread prevailed over the taste of garlic. It was very thin like rumali roti and the oil soiled the hands. Garlic Bread rating (0/5).
Bhuna goat exceeded expectations. It was cooked well (5/5).
Malai kofta was too salty. The server took it back to alter but ended up with the same salt content. She added extra cream but it did not reduced the salt content. Besides Kofta were so sticky and dry that it would stick to the knife when trying to cut it (2/5).
Staff 6) We had the birthday cake. The moment we finished cutting it, the staff was quick to ask for the cake stand as they wanted it for another table. The staff did not even care to give a dinner plate or something else to keep the cake - she just left it on the table without anything under it. It was an "ew" feeling and not a fine-dining vibe. Also, I expect that such a high-class restaurant to have few cake stands (1/5).
On entering the restaurant, the staff told that the first floor is not accessible and not staffed. But to my surprise, there were people and the second server confirmed that they are serving food there. Even after the booking, we had to wait for 20 minutes to get the table (3/5).
The server seemed very inexperienced and I can understand that it is festival (year end) time and difficult to get staff. The place was crowded and seemed understaffed. We had to remind server many times to get water as my kids had burning tongue (spicy food). She forget to bring salad and we enjoyed the starters (Steamed Momos) after the main course. However, the gentleman at the paying counter was very nice and professional in his dealing. (3/5)
Ambience and overall 9) We ordered 5 dishes and 8 garlic breads for 4 adults and 2 kids and paid $110 - so very economical considering the ambience, vibe, buzzing and food quantity (5/5).
Overall, I had no grudges but just suggestions. It may be just my bad experience. I selected this place because of word of mouth and travelled 90 minutes to experience Chaskaah.
I wish good luck...
Read moreVery poor experience. Food is good but service wise this is a joke.
Two weeks in a raw I gave this restaurant business.
First week was dining in and they messed up lot of order , did not bring all starters, mains were served and still starters not served. Staff are not trained to take order properly you order 10 items and only 7-8 items order reaches there kitchen. Raised this with the owner on the day as well and made him aware about it all. Common excuse from the staff is we are very busy today ( then why not employ more staff, specially when you know you have so many bookings for the day ) very very very poor business management. Don't open the business if you can't handle the business.
Last night we thought let's give this restaurant another chance and ordered a take away thinking that atleast service can't be wrong with that as you are not dining in. Placed an order over the phone, reconfirmed order twice , there was only 5 items so should be easy, staff still managed to miss one item. When I reached to pick up only 4 items packed 5 th one wasn't there. I explained to them again that their staff made this error again. Then I reach home and open the order and now they have made the biggest mistake we ordered veg steam Momo's and they gave chicken steam Momo's instead. And we order tandoori chicken Momo's but they gave us tandoori veg Momo's . So again a mistake made as whoever takes the order doesn't know to press the right button on their own system. I called and provided feedback and asked to speak with owner and was given the same excuse by QUILZY that we are too busy tonight and owner is busy and less staff. I have asked for a call back from owner and still none received. From a religious perspective someone who has never had non veg food ended up eating a chicken momo only to find out after taking a bite that this is very very wrong.
Last night's incident was the heights and now I will never try food here again. But I feel sorry the business owner he has put lot of money and effort to start this place , I wish he invests same money on good staff and good system and have enough staff so he doesn't looses...
