Staff were polite but geez the waffer thin "smashed beef" in half the Burgers is a disappointment in both taste and value. Ordering the "Sloth" for $18, but getting about 150g~ of meat was unsatisfying, lacking in flavour, pathetic in texture and ultimately poor value. If the burgers all used an actual patty, maybe it could've been better, but when a "double" is provided I expect to meet or surpass a regular patty. The chips were nice enough, but a severely under performing burger. I heard the chicken burgers were good, but can't vouch for them personally.

Got my hopes up and left me feeling punished for my anticipation, fitting for a chain store themed around hell. I'll go further down the road next time.

Edit: From the CEO's reply, I'll concede it's crispy around the edges but juicy certainly isn't the word I'd use for the centre, you'll need to add a bit extra weight to hit that accolade. Still, 220g of meat feels lack lustre, even if that's by design. Respect for acknowledging the competition and replying to feedback, hope to see improvement even if...

My FIL was craving burgers on the weekend so I suggested Burgertory given it has built an empire over the last 5 years and it feels like there’s one on every corner. I heard that they are now the largest privately owned burger chain in Australia and with good reason. While it may sometimes feel as though Melbourne has maxed out on burger joints this one is definitely here to stay.

They nail their concept and offering, all the burgers look sensational and everything is quite reasonably priced for the quality and phenomenal flavours.

I love the play on purgatory and the theming around the seven deadly sins for the seven burgers offered on the menu. It suits the concept of burgers to a t! The devilishly tempting fries are also the perfect accompaniment to the delicious burgers (I recommend the regular and the waffle as they have the yummiest seasoning on them). Cannot go wrong with the lust burger...

What a repeated terrible experience at this burger joint. I ordered dinner and waited for over an hour, only to have my order cancelled. When I tried to speak with the staff, they were incredibly unhelpful and refused to do anything to rectify the situation. Instead, they told me that I would have to come back and wait for yet another hour or more to get my food!

As if that wasn't bad enough, now I have to wait another hour for food delivery. The burgers were awesome, but the repetitive disappointment of things that go wrong whenever ordered, definately leaves an awful taste in my mouth.

Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. As is hit and miss. The poor customer service, ridiculous wait times. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else for your dining needs. Unless you are prepared to order at the premises and pick up at same time. I did love these burgers...

I tried Burgertory for the first time and experience wasn’t pleasant. Food was really good, I’d say 4/5. But food was not the issue. I went into customers toilets and it was disgusting. This isn’t one day two day non cleaned toilet, it seems like they have not been cleaned properly for weeks. I just don’t understand how a restaurant can operate like this without maintaining a hygienic environment. On top of this I saw A/C output grill was covered by dust. Including air curtain ventilation. I believe who ever may responsible for this would look into this and keep up their hygienic standards.

If I could give no stars I would. We went in tonight to order, after we had already paid they told us it would be a 30 minute wait. Then after we got the food it was literally inedible. I’m not even sure the mozzarella sticks had cheese in them, the chicken “tenders” was just a schnitzel cut in half. I couldn’t eat my burger cause the patty was so dry and the tomato relish had a weird off taste. So disappointed!!
